not happy with ride over 70mph any answers

wander

I have the same thing, drives like windy but not,new lower ball joints, new sway bar bushings, allignment, weird,I thought the car wasnt aerodynamic.

my 01 v6 is like this too kinda.... i think its cause i just got new rims....wheni brake my wheel shakes and at high speeds :(

Did you take that to a shop to have it done? Or do you have access to a rack to do that yourself?
They should have been able to adjust the rear camber. And those rear toe angles are still way off. I'd have made them fix that. I don't care if it's "within range" if you spent money to have them adjust everything, it needs to be perfect IMO.

i have eibachs as well and was told the rear camber is not adjustable ,,period have the cam bolts for the front.. they charged me for four not sure if four is needed.. if this can be done as well in the rear that would be great on my tires.. anyone first hand knowledge?

My car has gotten alittle better in the wander dept. since I put on the LSE rims and tires(michelins over contis) 17 vs 16 's.

Not sure on the rear, but you do need four - one for the front and one for the back of the lower control arm on each side if I remember right. I'd have to get under mine and look again.

count me in to the "wander" dept. It's really evident at 60+ - the back end sort of steps out. And even more so when I hit the gas at that speed.

As some might now, my car was hit from the back about 2 months ago- before that it did not have this problem. Now this is happening- got pretty much everything under the Left rear tire replaced (except for the caliper and hub stuff and spring- the strut was replaced...?). - So I;m guessing it's not one of those things. but a thing he replaced!! - could it be just that it's not tight??? he says everything is "new"

the mechanic said he checked everything and suggested I buy new front tires (my back two were BF and front Pirrelli's)

So I've had my alignment checked at two different places.
Replaced all four tires with 235/50/17 Michelin Pilot Sport AS Plus.
Also, I'm getting this "turning noise" (not while turning) from the back esp 20-40 and then dies down at hwy (but is prob still there I just can't hear it.) Can this be related )the mechanic said its a warped rotor.
I'm really kicking myself for not taking the money (7k) and parting out the car; as some of you suggested.

sorry to hear. After I replaced the rear "tie rod ends" and sway bar links, The car is MUCH better on the road. It still pisses me off sometimes though when it feels like the wind is blowing me everywhere or when I hit a bump or I am on uneven road the car likes to go its own way (not strait).

You have a non sport right? I would recommend stiffer springs and or a lowering kit, I have a sport but the lowering kit made one hell of a difference in the ride quality.

I have eibachs with new shocks in the front. Maybe I need to replace the rear shocks also
