Sob

spark plugs I haven't replaced til I get an SCT tune.....and I question if newer ones or old ones were put in the newer engine 1.5years ago :/

spark plugs...haven't touched nor ever did touch the coils.....my bad on that error :/

I would bet that's your problem. Time to do the valve cover gaskets, coils, and plugs. BTW the coils are on the spark plugs in the coil wells, they are what delivers the spark from the car to the plugs in coil on plug cars. All you have to do to check them is take off the coil cover that's bolted onto your valve cover and pull one of the coils out.

could be...I have had both valve cover gaskets fixed up this year but the spark plugs/coils have not been done since I bought the Ls. I did get to install my Nokya's and aluminum Intake tube today which was great and i'll be putting my stainless steel brake lines in while my buddy checks for the coils/spark plugs :p

I would assume they are the problem cause it's only under acceleration and the car only stalls and when I push through it the engine shuts off......so I'm leaning on a 70% coil problem and a 30% spark plug problem....

I might try them Bosch platinum spark plugs...but we'll see.....OEM could be good for now til I go high performance with the tune I plan on ordering later this year (too many things to order for the LS :/ lol)

I'd be savin more money havin my buddy just do the coils then have him run it to his work place to do a diagnostic check (90 bucks for that). I would definetely see it being the coils since I've had 3 VCG problems in the 2 years I've had my car and due to the way I drive...the coils would be taking a beating...you guys suggest OEM or Motocraft coils as replacement?

Go with the accels unless you're anal about the coil cover.

I replaced all of my coils 2 weeks ago, and the wells were dry...'04 no real surprise, but my gosh, what a difference. Even what I thot was bad trans shifting went away.
Do the coils.

Just throwing it out there.....check the ground strap to the body.......Sounds electrical to me....

good news...... your tranny is probably fine

bad news...you own a LS with electrical problems....I hope you are wealthy!

actually we got in and it was cause 4 of the coils were dead :'(

so I decided while I was in there to go ahead and do the spark plugs too since they were very worn and in case I get a SCT tune I need newer plugs. So all good for 600 bucks :-D

600 bucks for 4 coils and plugs? Man you must have trouble sitting down...

You could do this job with maybe 10 bucks worth of tools, and about an hour's time.

Well, I suppose I shouldn't assume. MOST could do this job in an hour with about 10 bucks worth of tools.

glad to hear it's back on the road though.

I think he is used to it...

Don't worry sweet Pete every time you take you car to a shop they put it in your a$$. I can see you running your mouth there like you do here and the mechanic just smiling.

Fair Enough Tune-Up?
so my LS hit 90k miles today (only 60k on the engine) and my car needs a tranny flush/ the throttle body needs cleaning. The stealership quoted me about $500 for the job (unsure if that includes labor). So what ya guys think....fair priced or should I see a 3rd party for the tune-up? :P

Karma is a bitch.

Sounds like you need to drive it over to microsoft and do the Windows updates....

or..flip it over and rub some lotion on it.

hell it might be cancer, so let your chiropractic buddy "take a crack at it".
