engine cover

Here you go.

Can you post closer pics of how the cover bolts up?

My 2000 LS V8 was missing the engine cover and I have only 1 bolt holding it. I am missing the others and need to get them.

some of these look good painted but it seems to me that 90% of the painted ones look way to too ricey for me. KleenLS has a gorgeous one!

+1

I seen about 3 I liked including his and GCwimmers. I gave it a shot myself color matching it with my car and didn't like it after a few weeks.

2nd gen have two large screw fasteners in the front and two ball and receptacle type fasteners that just pull apart with a pull straight up.

I yanked mine off a long time ago. No need to hold any more heat under the hood:D

Isn't that bad for our particular engines? There is a lot of exposed wiring and crap there. I had mine off for a weak once and my mechanic yelled at me to put it back.

Define "ricey"?

I cant because someone in this thread is likely to get offended. I will say I like how you went with the chrome spray. good idea! Now take that TB off and polish it up nice and purdy like to match the rest

The chrome plenum cover will be going "bye, bye". Once the new paint job is done. The plenum cover is getting painted to match the custom paint job. Several engine pieces will be getting removed and "dressed up".

A lot of engines have a lot of exposed wiring under the hood. I did the same thing to my 95 Mark VIII and it's still running fine.

Yah man, if you get that much water under the hood you got problems anyway.

Would be more worried about open intake filters then a few wires.
