OK so the wifey was driving the car and she started running like CRAP!!!! I got it home and ran a diag with the SCT. It came back with 4 codes

P0102 Mass Air Circuit Low
P1233 Fuel Pump Driver Module Offline
P1565 Speed Control Comman Switch Out Of Range High
C0C65 ?????

I cleared them, and restarted the car. Still ran like crap and threw the same codes. What the hell is the fourth code? I want to know what its leading me to. I think the only thing common to all these problems may be a fuse. IDK I havent even looked at it yet.

dunno. I had the P1233 right after I put the tune on my car. cleared the codes, and it has yet to return.

I'm completely confused on the last one still. I tried to google it, no results.

anyone want to buy a 2001 LS V8 Sport with LSE front and sides, Dyno tune nitrous kit, Eaton Locker, Accel Coils, etc etc etc?

sure! It's been babied and only driven at low speeds by a kindly old grandma, right??

ok I win!!!!!!!!! My first hunch was that the intake mani that blew apart from the nitrous backfire fell apart again

yup it did

i hate being right all the damn time! OK so now its either replace or repair the intake mani again.

here is the low down:

If you look at the stock intake mani, it is sort of spiralled with two plates on either end. When the nitrous backfired last summer, it blew the back plate off the intake mani. I ended up resealing it to the mani with a silicone adheasive very similar to that used by ford to originally seal it. Well for some unknown reason, that let go. It just so happened to be at the same time Sarah was in at staples looking at some business cards she ordered. When she came out, the plate had fallen off and created a massive vacuum leak and the car ran like a big steaming pile o sh!t! When I first got in her I said thats what it feels like, then ran the diags. diags can blow me. I know my car better than it knows itself!

So now the trick is getting the mani off and seeing if the plate is still in the engine bay like it was last time. If it is, maybe I can reseal it again and who knows maybe even with some better stuff. If it isnt, and that plate isnt a part you can just walk up to ford and ask for, I'll more than likely have to replace the mani. Stock composite manifold might be pretty pricey. Custom sheet metal might not be to effective as our cars REALLY need those long runners for low end grunt.

For now, she sits in the garage waiting for me to once again do surgery on her lungs, and maybe a transplant is in the works. IDK

Mark VIII's have little plugs in the bottom of the intake and I have heard of them blowing out too... Ford loves making intakes that crack apart in all sorts of ways!

no need! I hope

this is your intake manifold:

any questions?

Where's the frying pan? :p

Looks a bit sludgy in there. I think id give that thing a good scrubbing with a bottle brush before I put it back on my car.

Did you find the piece that blew off?
