manually add air to shocks

is there a way to manually add air to my shocks til i get a compressor ?
 
Get yourself some glue, a knife, and a valve stem, now what you are gonna want to do it stick the knife directly into the bag, make sure you have the valve stem ready, once you've put a hole in the bag jam the valve stem in and smother it with glue, and presto!

In all reality there isn't any way to add air unless you have a spider valve like Chicken said.

you bastard i just slit all 4 of my bags didn't work now i need new bags
 
you can do it one at a time, use a 12 volt power source and 2 wires with gator clips, unplug all 4 harness's and air lines going to each solenoid, hook the 12 volt power to a solenoid and use a home compressor and air gun to shoot air into the bag after you hear a click when you put power to the solenoid, once you have put a bunch of air in, unhook the power and move to the next one, but, if your car is down low and you cant drive it the way it is, adding air to the bags is a waste if your car has a leak, which is most likely why your compressor doesnt work, from trying to keep up with leaky bags. if you just need to move the car around, jack it up and put a piece of 2x4 on the top of all the upper control arms, front and back, this will aloow the car to be moved without draggin on the ground.
 
i thought my compressor was bad, the air never came on, so i got under the car spliced into the red wire going to cmprssr and up to battery, instant air. Still dont know y the cmprssr dosent come on by itself... (sorry just noticed date) guess this is called a bump... WOW!!! My 1st bump LVC rocks. lmao

actually, you can..
if you remove the dryer from the compressor oddly enough the orfice is almost exactly the same side as a valve stem/scrader valve.

you can put an air chuck on it, turn on the key, the solenoids should open and allow your compressed air into the system.

it's a severe PITA and if you have a leak it's not going to keep the car up very long.

BUT.. if you want to move a slammed car onto a wrecker or lift it will work.
 
lol me too, waitin till i get a little warmer weather...its been snow/ice for the last week in jersey. :rolleyes:

I think you're going to be in for a world of frustration.
I think his point was that, in the best case scenario, this method of getting air into the car won't make it drive-able, merely make it so that the car can be moved around the garage.

Presuming the compressor is broken, the best option is to replace it with one from American Air Suspension. Or to buy a Spider Valve with a Schroeder valve.
