I just had my trans replaced, and now my Anit lock, and trac. asst. lights are on.

any clue what could have happened?

I had no hand in working on it so I am not sure what was done, but does anyone know what to look for?

Not sure if it matters, but the right rear wheel speed sensor is covered in rearend grease, but it was before, and worked.

I think there is a link out there for an ABS test. Not sure if you need the Ford reader thing to do it though.

But its likely a hard fault. Wheel sensor damage, unplugged. Bad really, etc.

Hard to say for sure until you really look into it.

I would look at a rear abs sensors.... my guess would be a "tech" damaged a rear abs sensor undoing the driveshaft bolts... but thats a guess.

if they left the tank in place, they pulled the rear diff and slid the driveshaft out of the trans (the secret way) and the sensors are mounted on the diff. id say when they popped out the axles the first one went like this: "oops, what was that?"

x2. They're not too bad to do though.

Popping out the axles shouldn't affect the sensors. Removing the differential without unplugging them, will... remove the sensors.

See attached picture. Sensors are circled. And no, I don't know why the driver's side sensor was circled with a heart. Bite me.

You guys are crackin me up!

I would check my rear sensor... but it's been waaaay too darn cold here in ohio to wanna crawl under that car. I do have a feeling it is the right hand sensor though. Seeing as how that side is covered in diff fluid from it leaking for who knows how long.

I didnt have the tank out. I had the trans out. I think the guy said he had to move the diff to get the driveshaft out.

What does a new sensor run in price?

BTW what is that awesome looking red brace????

If the guy pulled the diff then the previous guesses that they messed up the rear abs sensors is probably correct.... I also wouldn't want to go crawl under a car in the winter weather....

The brace is a diff brace from Supercoupe, the axleshafts are Raxles I think too...

The rear abs sensors I would try and find used, maybe pm Jamie...

They are supposed to be heavier duty than the stock axles...

Heres an equation...

Boost+Sticky Tires=Broken Axleshafts...

if the rear diff came out, bet on they wrecked the sensors, they stretched the wires and now you need to replace them. what year is the car, 93-97 interchange, 98 dont, i should have a rear pair.
i want fi hundid dowa's for them.

1977 Mustang II-- First car, 2.3L/auto, 65K

If you put a SVO 2.3 in that car you would have the best parts of my first and third cars...(lol)

I've always driven "bastard cars", unpopular ones with ZERO aftermarket support.

Fast forward to late 90's and I bought ANOTHER such vehicle.
The venerable Lincoln Mark 8..HAHAH

Yeah... I have tossed the idea around of finding another Mustang II and doing that...

We put a 2970cc kit in my 84 SVO
I still think they are available from http://www.esslingeracing.com

aint none of it cheap... but it's a very potent combintion.

The local Dirt Track mini stock racers are making almost 300HP (flywheel) NA thru a 500CPM two barrel holley carb.

We made 270RWHP at 27lbs of boost in the SVO

I just looked on their website and they have a 3000CC crank now..(WOOT)!

There you go thinking again...

The brace is from mn12performance before the Rich sold out to the little highway robber that owns supercoupe performance.

The axles are indeed from Raxles. Good luck getting a new set, Marty don't make them anymore.
