Drivers side rear air bag won't line up?

Drivers side rear air bag won't line up with the retaining tabs going thru the hole in the bottom of control arm. I had to pull it over to get it to go into the hole. I replaced shocks yesterday and when I lowered the passenger side down I heard a pop and the plastic retaining tabs on the drivers side air bag broke off. I replaced rear drivers side shock and had to let air out of air bag to get it to line up again. I got it into the hole at the bottom of control arm but there are no retaining plastic pieces to hold it there? Will it stay or am I going to have to get another airbag? Also has anyone else had this problem where the bottom of the air bag doesn't line up with the control arm hole? I don't see any adjustment to correct this misalignment. Car has never been in an accident.

Odd. I did mine without any problems. They should have no air in them though. The bottom just pushes through. I am pretty sure I did that first. Then The top goes up and twists into place. Not much to it, not sure why you would have aliment issues unless you have the wrong side?

there is no wrong side, both the rear air bags are the same, there is no left or right. let more air out of the bag and you wont have any trouble lining it up, it has too much air in it thats why you cant push the bottom cup over where it needs to be, to change the shocks though you didnt need to touch the rear air bags. as far as the one with busted lower tabs i wouldnt trust it to just sit there, if it was to ever twist or move while driving it could burst.

I should re-install one of the OEM bags and see if Arnott will replace the tabs on this one then??
