Has anyone put a good sounding xhaust setup on their v-6? Right now I Have a resonator delete with dual Flowmaster Super 44's. It sounds very bad in the high RPM band. I need yalls help!

Put some resonators on the car. I run AeroTurbine resonators and it made my car, with Bassanis, sound much more refined instead of "hollow-ish".

Then Why does it have the v-8 sport trim kit on it? I mean I didnt think i was that big of an idiot.

? Are you referencing the bumper cutouts for the exhaust? It was custom cut. I did cutouts on mine too.

Or if you are referencing the no chrome on the bumpers, you could get the sport trim level in both v6 and v8 models.

I don't know, but I think I like my V6 quiet because in my opinion, due to the number of cylinders, you really can't make it sound that good. Case in point: the video on the first reply. Sure, it sounds unlike stock, but it's a little too much Chevy Baretta sounding for my taste. It does scream nicely at high RPM, but the low RPM ramp-up doesn't do anything for me. It needs to sound deeper, in my opinion.

What did yours (OP) turn out to sound like? And does anyone have a V6 system that actually sounds like it has some bass tones? The video above sort of reminds me of what Nascar Sprint Cup cars sounded like when they went from their normal exhaust to their X-pipe setups for restrictor plate tracks.

One thing for sure: When nascar Busch Grand National cars had V6 engines, as did their AA level regional series cars, the tone produced by their exhausts was deafening and the pitch was totally unlike the V8 cars at that time. That is what I mean by V6 and V8 having inherently different tones due to cylinder counts.

Not even close to a baretta sound...i thought it sounded more like a new infiniti FX35 IMO

What is the part number for the bassanis or the aeroturbine ones?
Thanks.

Don't know to be honest. I bought them from camthman. I think there might be info in his for sale thread. I'll go look and post back if I find anything.

I think it sounds like a V6 Euro, nothing like a Infinity at all to me. They have that low tone but they have that funny growl also.

Of course you may get that certain tone but you wont get that growl/gurgling or what ever the hell you would call it that accompanies it.

Either way the V6 LS does sound nice for having a V8 counterpart.

ok i got the price for the aeroturbine resonators:

Part #AR25 $51.75/ea + S
LINK HERE

Also at ebay:
LINK HERE

Still I cant find the Bassani ones yet.. any URL link or contact info?
Thanks.

I'm just guessing, but try this link. 4x8x16 2.5" center in/offset out :

http://www.bassani.com/part/4820

that looks to me like a muffler... Im in search of a resonator thou and I think I just found one.
I got everything except the magnaflow mufflers and the aeroturbine resonators, but first the side skirts need to be finished. I just got a pair of new dual SS exhaust tips from a camaro SS.

"1st lincoln ls with side exhaust and new body kit".... cant wait! :D

No no..I have Bassani mufflers that look like the one pektel linked AND AeroTurbine resonators where the stock resonators were.

I don't have a sound clip, but my LS has 2.5 pipes from the resonators to 18 inch Magnaflows with a set of 4.5x3.5 tips. It has that Euro tone and sounds really great at the higher rpm levels.

where can i find magnaflows #14326 cheaper than ebay ones for $94/ea?

I was Refering to the trim on the bumer I was unaware that you could get a sport v-6. I did cut outs on my car aswell but how the mufflers sit they arent nearly as high. I like yours alot better than mine. But I will fix mine some day. What did you guys use to do your cutouts on the plastic?
