Im down for the coils... What are they left over from your old car? They offer any benefit? My stock ones don't look so great but their getting the job done.

I disagree. With COP yes, but with the older style coil packs there is room for improvement. Though I don't know if you would notice a difference on a non FI car.

I disagree.. I've seen many MSD coiled first gens that had missfire problems.
And since the owner just bought these "cool RAD red" coils they were reluctant to change them out for stock coils.

In the end.. putting stock coils back on the car made a WORLD of difference.

"just say NO to MSD or Accel coils".

and IMHO..
the second gen "coil on plug" scenario isn't "OPTIMUM" either.

I dislike the way there is "nothing" holding the coils down except the coil cover.

This "fire and forget" type of arrangment kinda sucks.
you place the coil on the plug and HOPE the coil cover pushes it down enough to mantain a good connection.

I'd rather have that coil "mounted securely".

I'm going to explore creating a small plug wire to replace that stoopid coil spring, and not depend on the "coil covers" to keep the coils tight.

I agree with that statment but the Screamin Demon stuff is(or at least was a few years ago) quality stuff.

And I agree with you about the COP set up too but there isn't a better alternative to stock.
