Well, after 6 months of thinking about it and trying to convince anyone else to do it for me, I have finally swapped out the broken blend door on my 98 Mark VIII. Not too bad, took me 4 hours with a few 'cuss' breaks in between.

Got it all back together, no extra parts. Checked the air, it didn't work. Charged the air, it's ICE COLD now. Gotta have air in August in a Triple Black LSC.....

Thanks for all the help and suggestions on here. Now, 3 things I do need if anyone knows a good place to get them..

Passenger side door handle
Passenger side Mirror
Driver's side seat control panel. The one I have is broken from the stud that connects it to the seat in the front.

Let me know...tjkashin@kashin.org or reply here....

Check out jamie97lsc. He's a member here and has a real collection of used Mark pieces. Also a nice guy and is known here for pretty unique solutions to Mark problems. Good Luck.

Thanks for that info, I'll try sending him a message through here, meanwhile, if anyone else out there has any of those parts or suggestions to replacing the door handle, let me know. I have looked for one, but each one I come across in a junkyard has the same issue as mine, broken on one side.

Thanks again

They just had some of that stuff that ended on a auction last night.

I super glued mine back together. Worked just fine.

I actually tried that and it lasted about 3 months before it happened again. I am going to try Epoxy this time.

The problem I have with finding any parts is that mine is Triple Black. I can find gray parts all day for the interior but no black and as far as the mirror and the door handle, it seems I can find it in any color but black. I know I can paint the exterior parts to match, but I might as well wait until I get the whole car painted over the winter before I do that anyways.

how can i fix my blend door ? and i have peanut butter interior and i need thatdrivers trim peice as well

Damnit!

My book with all the color codes in it is at home, usually I can look that stuff up quick, the 93 tan color is unique though.
