I had my intake off to day on my 94.
when I pulled the TB off there was a milky substance on the intake side. it looks like milky oil.
its in the intake where the TB goes but there isnt anything in the ports on the bottom side of the intake or in the IMRC plates.
A buddy said it could be due to a bad head gaskets.
I used to have a Cougar XR7 SC so I know bad headgaskets very well.:D

my mark dosent smoke the oil and the coolent are both spotless.
still has lots of power. and no miss or rough idle.
my buddy said that if its leaking top end it will stay in the top of the heads and be sucked threw the PCV valves and into the intake.
he told me to do a compresion check and that if there are 2 adjacent cylenders that wont hold pressure then I have a bad headgasket.
my compresion tester is at work so I cant check them till monday.
but just wanted to see if any one else has had a similer issue
thanks

chances are, unless you have water in your oil as well... it's more then likely just condensation in the intake mixing with the oil from the pcv...

you see the same thing in valve covers from time to time.

Saw the same thing in my Audi I had a year or so ago. If your oil looks good then don't worry about it.

The water has to be getting into your oil somehow. More than likely somwhere, somehow coolant is leaking into your oil.

Don't try and make up a new problem that doesn't exist...

If the car runs at normal temps
The coolant is clean
The oil is clean
The power is there
The idle is fine....

Your car is fine...

its just condensation i have taken apart roughly 500 of these 4.6's and i see it all the time, dont sweat it dude your good!

thats good news.

some how I had this feeling that throwing a hundred shot at a bad head gasket might have caused problems:confused: :D

I'm still gonna do the compresion check tomorow but from what you guys are saying i think I'm good.
