I have been wanting to paint the car for about a year and since I was hit about a month ago, I decided to go ahead and start on it.

I pulled both bumpers and the grill... rear bumper had to be replaced anyway. Also pulled side glass (so far), mirror, door handles, all the trim on the doors and glass. So far, All we have done is blocked the car. For the most part it is straight, so we will finish sanding and start with primer hopefully be the end of next week.

I also am attaching a few pics of a Fury frame off we are doing for your viewing pleasure. Its about 85% done and is a side job, so its been slow. See if you mopar guys can see anything unusuall.

Sorry for the pic quality... I was in a hurry.

The doors were the hardest part. I have never changed doors out on a mark before. Did the drivers door first and I must say that it sucked. Passenger door took about an hour. Hope to have the car painted within the next two weeks. Going to let it cure for about 2-4 weeks before we rub it out (even though its not really necessary to let it set that long). Should have more pics next week.

Looks awesome!

I can agree with the doors, and all that I've done is removed them. While I was doing them all I could think is why didn't ford put a plug on the door harness??

My new Mark will hopefully be getting the same treatment in the next year or so, it's got a few defects.

Wet sand today and hopefully primer tonight or tomorrow. Then block again. Getting excited to get it finished.

Not another complete interior job?

Yup............. Ive got ALOT of things to do for this car.

Maybe one of these days I'll be able to actually show it off.

I think only 3 or 4 people on this site have acutally seen the damned thing run.

:D

I'm sure the car will look awesome when you're all done! I always liked that mark to start with.

The paint is done on the body. Have a small spot on the top to fix (friggin bug), but over all looks very good. Used a triple black color that is very deep. The car has not be rubbed down yet and still looks good. Probably finish small stuff like the bumpers, grills, door handles and mirrors today. Start putting back together tomorrow or Monday. I will try to get some more pics up today.

Let's hope THIS interior project you're working on is not as rattly and squeaky as the last one you did. ;)

Well, the car is completley back together and hopefully will finish buffing today. We have spent will over 20 hours in buffing and will probably spend another 5 or 6 today.... black really sucks when it comes to finishing, but it looks like a mirror. We have not buffed the bumpers mirrors or below the plastic trim (on the doors).

Start on the interior next week. I'll put some pics up maybe later today.
