Oh, i agree - by modern standards the Ford / JBL system is crap. Was probably a pretty good OEM set up for it's time though. One day, i will replace the whole lot. My car has so many silly little problems at the moment, a stereo install is way down on the 'to do' list. This temp fix will do for now. Heck, my car doesn't even have a CD and i have NO tapes!
