Thanks man! What guage wire should I use for the "big 3"? I'll do it if it will help... what exactly does it help again? The system's performance?

for your system 4 gauge should work if your adding it to the factory wiring.
it will help with the preformace of the system by helping the car from "starving" for power (dash lights dimming) and alowing more power to flow with less resistance.then again i don't know if you will see a huge difference since that amp isn't too big. but in a lot high tech computer controlled cars it can also improve how well the car functions since alot of the systems and sensors read a resistance to ground. the import crowd(real imports, not ricers) love this type of thing because of how their cars rely on computer info and how accurat the info is

oh and i would turn the ISF(infra sonic filter) on so your amp is not wasting power amplifing frequncys that you can't hear < 20-30Hz

4 gauge should be fine... make sure if you do add a cell in the rear that you must ground that cell to the frame aswell...

kenwood....... i would leave that bass boot all the way down... unless you like to clip your stuff,

are you referring to the amp? Just bought it. I didn't really do my research though. Why do you think it would clip? Have you had bad luck with Kenwood amps? This is my first one. The one before this was a Pioneer 760W 2 channel from Best Buy like 6 years ago.

the solo X 18 is far from garbage. you will never get it into a ls though. keep in mind that it is a 10,000 watt sub it is made for spl, so it has no sound quality. it will only play the deepest notes, but it is loud, bet on that. however a set of solo x 10's or 12's will sound very good and probaly rip a LS to pieces

i was actually going to get that next but not sure what type of amp will push that well. also, i've been wanting to upgrade the alt and the wiring, i have a red top as is. the only thing stopping me is the significant other . she won't justify my purchase when she needs a new car currently.

if i get it she would know. she likes hearing music loud in my car and having an X 12" rather than the L7 15" is a big difference. i'ma just buy her her car and be done with it. then i can spend as much as i want on my car

if you want a solo X 12 check out the kicker kx2500.1. Its the new amp that kicker made for the solo x's. you will need one 2500w RMS amp for each 10 or 12 or two of the amps for the 18. those amp are just sick
