I have a feeling Mark VIII owners have no clue

Just my .02, on Friday toward the end of business (when everyone wants to leave early) Geno was on the phone helping me with purchasing a chip. As someone who has customers on the phone and in my face I understand the pressure to do both at once. Communication was not an issue, as the one time I tried calling and couldn't get through to him he called me right back.

Whether or not you meant to say it, it was said which might turn away a customer in the future. This is my first go fast goody I will be purchasing from Geno, probably not the last. The other time I purchased from him the communication was impeccable and shipping fast. I'm sorry that your communication wasn't as smooth as mine.
 
This has been a awesome forum and everyone here has helped me improve my skills and learn from basically knowing nothing to being able to rebuild my engine. I like LMS style and as far as I'm concerned everyone else is just a bunch of imitators. As far as his parts go man everyone can say what they want its just one post why you cryin about it?
 
This guy seems to be trying to stir the pot, he should just send him a pm directly,and keep it between him and Geno. Instead he just starts trippin and starts a rant thread that falls on deaf ears, I have dealt with Geno a couple of times. The first time was when I bought my first set of cobrastars, they were on backorder and he gave me the breakdown as to why they would be late.
He answered every PM I sent him and kept me in the loop until they arrived,and then when I ordered the other side it was even faster(3 days).
Maybe this guy has bad luck.
When ever I look for performance parts for the mark, LMS is first on the list.
 
thats why i prefer to have emails or pm's sent, i dont answer my phone often either and have a hard time returning calls. i know exactly what geno goes through. dealing with a high volume of customers can get hectic and make it really hard to answer calls. i have never dealt with geno yet, but im sure from everyone's posts after the first one, he is no problem to deal with. like it was said before, its so easy for one person to say something bad one time and have the discussion go on for ever, yet no one says anything about the 100's or 1,000's of good things from a person. oh well, this thread wont hurt geno i'm sure he could care less.
 
i think he just feels stupid now for insulting the whole mark VIII community and that was his excuse for the post. when you are mad at one person, you cant talk down on the whole crowd or everyone is gonna stomp all over you!!

Looks like you are new to the community and probably posting in general. I had to laugh. You tried to apologize but you just couldn't resist sticking in another jab. Therefore, the thread stays. At least until I see some different behavior.

Anyway,

As one who works with inventors for a living, introducing new products takes risk. It also requires, sometimes, a decent margin, to make the risk worthwhile. Who you are complaining happens to be THE innovator of the Mark scene. What you are seeing with other 'vendors' is the copycat mentality. They don't have the courage or capability to introduce these products themselves, so they sit back and wait for a market to develop and then step in and whore it out. The Lincoln Mark VIII market is not a huge market. You're lucky to sell 10 here and 20 there. But good for you. You saved a couple bucks. Bravo.

Try looking at the equation from the other side of the desk and I am sure you might form another conclusion.

And don't get too happy and comfortable with the replies from the other forum. There were issues there you don't need to get involved in and it has nothing to do with vendors, callbacks, prices or anything related to that.

You'll get more help here if you choose to act like a member of the team, imho.

If you have a dyno , feel free to use it ,burn some chips and try to sell them,it is a free country.

Let me tell you something about Geno,
I have called him needing things for my Mark,
Many times he has told me to order them from Summit or Jegs and
even gave me the part numbers.
He could have easily ordered them and marked it up, but he didn't.
This was all BEFORE I even spent $1.00 with LMS.

He has spent countless hours over the years helping me fix my car over the phone.
Sometime he has the time to do it, and sometimes he doesn't,But he eventually is always there when I need him.
I am not the only one,he will almost always chime in on a post with his expertise.

When you can do for this community what he has,then you can open your mouth,when you have 12 sec or better time slips feel free to talk about
YOUR KNOWLEDGE,but without guys like him,it will be trial and error until your bankroll runs out.

Until then be smart and keep your opinions to yourself.
Not a good way to make friends.

OH yea,if you called me "hundreds of times" I wouldn't answer the phone either.
 
I have not purchased anything from Geno so far but that he has offered helpful advise to me and others on this board. If having to deal with shameless plugs from a paying advertiser that serves our small community that a sacrifice I won't lose sleep over.

SO do not run on with no facts or understanding of the procedures of this type of market & business.

I have learned my lesson the HARD way in the past with MANY projects in the past and have lost mucho loot in the process.

Look at all the money spent on getting the emblems done and look how many YEARS it took to get in the pink, about 2.3 to be exact, thats horrible & horrendeous.

The hoods too, I am not funding the Gen 2 hood for me to sell 5 total, again it isn't worht it, now if people wanted them so bad then it wouldn't be a problem for them to put up the loot and fund the project, right?

Guess what? To date I have 4 people ready to step up and pre pay for the Gen 2 hood at $600.00 a piece and let me tell you it takes a total of $4200.00 to do the molds and the first 4 hoods so I am NOT going to put out my hard earned money for something I will sell a total of 1 to 2 per year if that. I can make shttty penny stock investments that have a quicker return.

I have made several items off the bat with my OWN LOOT in the past that just sat and rotted along with my money too pal.

So if you want to fund something on your own with your own money to just sit and wait years to get your money back, go right ahead!!

I will do it never again, sorry dude I have a life and a Wife, family & pets to worry about and other companies to tend to that actually make money!

I do not have time to sit and make one off items for a market so small with almost no return, it isn't worth it to make new parts in this market unlesss they are dirt cheap to produce and trust me they AREN'T!.

Research what your talking about before you talk and and I really do mean that with all due respect.

First of all Bud I do return ALL my calls what number are you calling? 234 calls? LMAO what number are you calling from and Ill post in texy my last Comcast 60 days worth of calls.

Second of all I am in the middle of handling my dead Grandmothers Estate as well as selling her property and buying another house for my Wife and I to move into so we can get of this $hithole.

I also own a print and design company that makes 100% more money then LMS ever would or will so you better get your "deep pocket" crap out of your head asap because if you think thats what I am all about then you need your head examined pal. I LIVE for this $hit bud and I don't need this crap either.

I have been in business for 11 years and nevr had a BB complaint nor been sued bud. If I am so bad then why are you calling me anyway? Your complaining about my parts and services so bad then why wiould you want to use them at all?

Also upon researching your posts I find you asking very peculiar questions about the Marks tranny's but you have a dyno and make parts and you don't know what transmissions can be used in one? LMAO cmon man give me a break.

Based on your screen name here, one would assume, that is of course, if they had a clue, (most Mark VIII owners don't according to you), that you are in possession of a Mach of some sort. Either that, or you think your '94 Mark came with a Mach engine. Or just maybe, based on your avatar, you switched out the Mark engine and dropped in a Mach engine, while at the same time changing out the 'c' heads so you could make the 'b' heads work with the stock intake, thereby allowing you to keep the awesome plastic cover thingy that says Mark VIII. Wow.

There is no excuses he was just making a point that there are only so many days in a week. I get huindreds of emails a week my phone message are high volume too and I am the ONLY one doing this end of it so yes there are times when I do not get back in a timely manner, s happens wat can I say?

If I didn't get back to you quick enogh then inbox me here im on every day. Again sorry for your dissapointment but do not judge someone on ONE long time getting back to you.

Im glad you feel that way, I appreciate what you do for our Mark VIIIs. And understand that it takes time to make one of the best sleepers on the road even better. I would blame you for getting mad though, this freak is talking out the side of his neck.

Every deal with SHM? I did a few years back when I built my stang, Scott that worked there was great (but he left), everyone else was the biggest bunch of ###. I wish back then more companies had stroker kits for the 4v.
I have emailed Geno countless times about products always got a very fair response in a very reasonable time frame. I ordered a $20 item from him and he treated me as if I was ordering an engine.
