I have a 2000 lincoln LS v8 engine with auto trans and 100k miles on it.

I am doing Valve cover gaskets soon and the owners manual says to replace EGR valve at 105k. I've heard the v8 has no EGR valve. I've also heard that it is integrated into the valve cover. are any of these statements true? and how many EGR valves does a v8 have..because ( obviously) it has 2 valve covers. i would like to replace it at the same time I do my covers if I have to take my air intake off.

the V8 has no PVC vavle.

Already answered this in my other post - the EGR valve it on the driver's side of intake - backside of the throttlebody. there is a vacuum line running into the top of it and the brass tubing from the exhaust running into the bottom of it.

TIP - hit the bolts with PB Blaster and let it soak for 10mins before trying to loosen them. Since it's on the exhuast tube - they can get corroded and you may break a bolt off trying to loosen them. Do not use WD-40 as it is not O2 sensor safe.
