Got the 4.30's installed in the 98 LSC today. Motive IX (lightweight gears), poly diff bushings, trac-loc rebuilt to 03/04 Cobra spec with carbon clutches (3x as strong as regular trac-loc clutch material). Speedo is dead on, no need for speedo gear for the tranny with the gen 2. I haven't gone WOT throttle yet but the gears bring a smile to my face. I had the 4.30's on my 95 LSC and they cut my 1/4 mile time by around 6 tenths. BTW, stock driveshaft, doesn't begin to vibrate until 80 mph which I can deal with for now. Very happy about that as well... my 95 LSC with the 4.30's vibrated starting around 60mph.

Might have to rethink my 410's. Not that big of a diff though. Glad to see you got it installed though. Can't wait for mine. Maybe when the gov sends me some free money.

Nice job on the gears :)

sbcaprice, if you already have the 4.10's installed, I wouldn't bother changing them as there is very little difference between them and the 4.30's (not big enough at least to warrant the expense, imho...)

I went WOT last night from a 1st gear roll, acceleration is brutal... the torque multiplication kills the tires on the shift.

Yea my car is Sniper Tuned with the shift points raised and firmed up and the governor eliminated.

thats the sweetest 2nd gear shift on a track i ever saw. geno blows it all sideways and never lets up on the gas, nice set of nuts lol!!!
