mark another W for the ls8...

last night on my way to a bar i noticed a 04+ accord coupe v6 driving abnormally fast. i hadnt been drinking...yet...so i decided to catch up to see if he wanted to play.

we catch a light and he motions to roll down my windows so i oblige. we have some small talk on my car, and he says he was thinking of getting an ls V8, im assuming he thinks i have the 6, and i ask if he wants to go. he says sure.

green means go and we did all the way up to 110. ended up taking him by a car and a half. he stayed right w/ me the whole time, which really surprised me bc i was expecting to eat it... it was a fun race. im totally stock w/ additional weight in my 20's and 2 12's. started off the night right.:Beer

some kid around my age cut me off on my way to work the other day in an 04 accord, hit about 125 after he cut me off, he was about 3 cars back when I had to start braking for the stop sign.

I toasted some guy in an Acura TL 3 times in a row last week. Even gave him a car length head start on the third try then overtook him around 60 and kept goin to 100. He had an intake, a fart cannon, and some annoyingly blue headlights. Im still stock.

I dont know if the Honda S2000 is supposed to be fast but i had a good 7-8 mile run with one today doing 120-130 mph. It was on a toll road with no traffic. The LS handled great going thru turns at 100+. He kept trying to pass me but never could, ended up around two car lengths behind me when he exited the road, i knew he was pissed. Thought he was some hotshot with his convertible but a heavy ass 4 door outran him. I've pushed the LS hard before but i actually got it to get all floaty on me, kinda scary. Also had a nice hot electrical smell for a couple miles afterwards, i'm sure thats not gonna be good.

Im sorry guys, but Im pissed when a 4 or 6 cylinder stays within a car length of me.

when i say this, I mean a stock or close to stock 4 or 6. I know there are very fast 4 bangers out there.

we have a heavy v8 slab bro. eventually you will even loose to a i4. not saying every 4cyl will beat an ls but you know which ones... wrx, srt4, stock for stock. ive never ran either but i certainly wouldnt expect to win if i ended up running one...

I have a friend witha bone stock srt-4. and In the colder months The LS can give him a good competition. I usually pull ahead by three cars or so and he reels me in around 85-90. Those cars are better for top end....

both of the cars you listed have turbos and one is AWD.

and both are i4's. that was the only point i was trying to make. some i4's will beat an ls. any other i4's that would give an ls8 a good race?

mazda speed 6 but again its turboed. theres not many N/A 4 cylinders that I know of that will beat either a mark of LS8

not sure about the s2000 never raced one. No one brings them out to the track. I beat 2 different RSX type-S about a month ago.

s2000 does low-mid 14s in the quarter if im not mistaken
