It's because while Republicans control both the House and Senate, their control is minimal and Democrats only need a very small number of Republicans to cross the aisle and vote with them. Though when Trump-Vance are finally forced to release the files, we already know they both buried the Epstein Client List and redacted the rest of the files to protect Trump and his billionaire friends.
