One doesn't need to be a Friedman or von Mises to realize that tariffs will affect consumer prices, in fact, anyone with a basic understanding of economics should draw that conclusion. Once the conclusion is drawn guarantees are mere fiction. Trump is right - assuming the statement is accurate - he cannot.

But just in case you're ignorant and it's sheer ignorance here, let me explain in simple terms: Marx believed that Capitalism served to exploit workers so the wealthiest few could maximize personal gains. Literally what Elon Musk said out loud in his tweet and defended it. That other man is pointing it out. Period.

I dont support a government that with one hand would have you believe that your best interests are in their hearts. Then with the other hand, do who even knows what kind of shady sketchy behind the scenes type stuff....I just saw that the thread was supposedly supporting trump. The reason i came here was for my 2001 Lincoln LS 3.9L V8. My beautiful sweet lady that has caused me no problems in the almost 2 years ive had her. I want to fix her

Fair enough, I'd try to get those spare LS parts before Trump takes office and his tariffs on everything and trade wars with our allies wrecks the country again. But really, you should have bought a Cadillac :)

Right on, man. Glad it's working for you. I'll go electric at some point. I have gas and hybrids now.

Next time you buy washer fluid, save the gallon jug. You can refill it with tap water and use a squirt of dish soap, I use Dawn. Works the same and it's practically free. Obviously not for winter use if you freeze.

Speaking of electric, the people who most oppose electric vehicles biting into the gas car market, are the same people who lionize Elon Musk (a horrible human), the man who is pushing the hardest for everyone to go electric, as long as it's a Tesla car. Their cognitive dissonance always amuses.

I have a 12-13 year old hybrid vehicle that's on the original battery, no problems thus far. Even the 12volt battery is original, which is an odd thing to see happen. I know other people with 10-15+ year old hybrids still running the original battery as well.

Tesla's with their flush door handles can have a problem in freezing temperatures, seen (videos) people not be able to open them as they can freeze shut. Elon Musk and his shit products.
 
Trump's now said he probably won't be able to lower the cost of groceries, despite claiming he would and "hugely" would.

He still plans on pardoning the violent anti-democracy criminals who attacked the Capitol on Jan 6th, on his behalf.

Better than Bidenflation. It's gonna take years to recover from that (like Carterflation). However... stores are closing their businesses... and Trump will most likely take the blame. :rolleyes: The long term will tell.
