LS V8..Need advice....rebuild, junkyard or get new motor

Ok people...long story shorten....my son killed my baby, stole my truck and took the damn dog...didn't realize how sad all that sounds till now...lol, but he really did...anyway, i don't want to give her up but the engine appears to be shot...next wk I'm going to the hobbie shop on base and pull the motor out (v8 2003).
He was driving her while she was leaking oil into the coolant...situation turned so bad the engine spat out a freez plug due to overheating before anything else happen at a different time...anyway, while driving the motor shuts down and he coast to a parking lot...now this happened during the summer...car sat since then....i now have time to work on it....the plan, pull the engine and see whats going on and try to decide whether or not I rebuild, get a junkyard eng, or new engine...i attempted to start it 2 days ago.. the starter clicked, i felted the motor shift some while engaging the transmission...with my backyard understanding of how all this works, had i not known what he did i would say the problem is the transmission, but i know it's the motor pistons not turning.
I'm posting because after reading 48 different posts I've come to realize there are more then a few things i haven't accounted for like parts are now rare...most of the posts i found are dated yet insightful...i know there is something to that oil in coolant problem that I'm overlooking.
Any....drop some knowledge please about it all, i got this car as a gift to myself when i came back from Iraq so there is a great deal of attachment...i got myself a maximum when I came back from Gulf...passed that off to the 2nd born and he is taking great care of that, so much that he flip the glove box to hold a new radio because i kept the original....any...help me out.

Fyi I do realize that I would have to rebuild the junkyard motor.
 
If the engine is seized, then it's replacement time.
Rebuilding the junkyard engine is not practical. Bottom end parts are very hard to get. Instead, I'd replace a lot of the gaskets and all the cooling system parts.

Well since I'm going to pull the engine the just rebuild what i got...i know I'll be able to clean parts in that box, can't recall the name right of it right now; i dont know if I'll be able to "bore" if pistons off.
Now as far as cooling system would anything outside the norm need to be changed? Should i change the dccv (is that right)? What are the chances that the oil pump went bad? Oh and i think he said the ac stopped too...damn...love hate relationship starting here now....

Hopefully its more beautiful then here...hey i was told your government stopping US citizens from pouring into your country because of that new guy...i cant even type his name...lol

Hey... no fair!!! I had that idea back in the mid 80's. Both north and south border of the U.S. Bring back the WPA,,, and the only people who would starve,,, would be the lazy a$$es that didn't want to work to provide for their familes. Pay a mand to push a broom sweeping the streets,,, give him a little dignity... and a healping hand up in the process.

Instead we have an abused welfare system that people sit back and do nothing to collect.... while the middle class pays their debt.

In all reality and seriousness... you may want to look for a good running engine in a boneyard. Engine oil and coolant mixing isn't a good sign for the engine you have. Last I checked,,, (a couple years ago)... a new engine was still available,,, but it's gonna cost you 5 grand or more. Car is not worth that,,, other than maybe in parts.
 
Sorry Rigs... didn't mean to get "snarky" with you. I did notice however... that the Canadian income tax is doubling from 2016 to 2017. 10%,,, will now be 20%... and so on and so forth. Wait till the U.N. decides you need to pay 40%+ taxes like Denmark.

I also noticed that "MR" obama snuck $221 MILLION to Palestine... during his last hours in the Whitehouse. ,,, at the same time Obama's administrations was trying to "chastise" Israel for rebuilding in "supposed" Palestinian territories.

Funny how when MR obama gave his last speach as president... he was getting all kinds of claps and cheers,,, until he made the comment that the USA was a great country. At that point,,, you could have almost heard a pin drop!!! I think obama got the point at that point,,, and maybe so did clinton, (doesn't matter which gender).

It's actually a matter of "truth"... that the U.S. has been mostly footing the "bill" for other countries since 1947 or so. Look up GATT, (Gaurenteed Trade and Tarrifs Act). Do a bit of careful research,,, and for the most part... you will find that there has been a move to make the U.S.A. a socailist country for a long time. Not only that,,, but the U.N. has been wanting to disarm the citizens of the U.S.A. ,,, for about as long!!!

So... I guess memebers of the NRA, (i'm not one),,, made their stand. And I guess those who are tired of "footing the bill" to bring other countries up in a standard of living, (while we go down),,, made their stand. I guess those that finally woke up... and see the Democratic party as becoming a "Socialist" party,,, made their stand.

The Post WW2 president's were influenced by the U.N. ,,, and thre majority of Democratic Presidents ascribed the the U.N. idea of "A New World Order". Ironically... George (H.W.) Bush,,, was the last to mention those words on national television. Since then,,, Democrats have created terms for those words.

Go ahead... check me. Do the research and prove me wrong!!! GATT, was designed to put the whole world on a level economic playing field... meaning that the richer countries pay to bring up the standard of living for the poorer countries.

Ok..I see you and raise you one...it was really with the start of A.L.L. party that most of what you mention plus more started...that corp America as we know it began...this party included families like heinz, colgate, birds eye, gm, and of course poppy bush daddy prescott bush...this party put hilter in power and supplied his army as well as paid the merchants that guarded the nazi prison camps...i find it funny when people question why America kiss jews ass so much and japan...any...in the late 30s into the 40s this same party attempted a coup of the american government but was exposed...instead of hitting them up for treason Roosevelt send usa to war which is what ALL wanted and gave all those families/ companies what seem to be life government contracts suppling our military everything from mre to tanks...corporate America born...the government appears to pay bills so corporations can do their business globally....which is why poppy and cia took out kenndy, like Roosevelt he didn't want war...unlike Roosevelt he didn't cave...
 
OK... this conversation is starting to sound a bit "Don"-ish. As far as kissing Japan's a$$,,, um... maybe it's because we almost accidentally wiped them off the face of the Earth???!!! Hiroshima and Nagasaki ring a bell??? USA retaliation was justified for Pearl Harbor... but A-bomb was misunderstood for the destruction it caused. Check history!!! Roosevelt didn't cave,,, but had serious regret for the destruction he caused.

NOT gonna get into why the U.S. has always backed Israel. That is another topic saved for other discussions elswhere!!!

Really??? If it starts and runs... doesn't smoke,,, and doesn't make any unusual noises... then it's probably worth buying!!! Might still have to put some minor parts into it... but a running LS is worth more than an oversized boat anchor.
 
And FYI... "corporate" America was born waaayy back before the great depression!!! The stock market crash of 1929 predates your theory about Roosevelt and Hitler.

Check history huh...you need to read history. How can retaliation be justified when we allowed them to bomb ph in the first place? The ALL party wanted to enter the war because they knew how much money they would make like ww1, Roosevelt didn't because of the depression he didn't believe it would help america. ALL attempted a coup, was exposed and nothing happen but a compromise. How do one compromise with an organization that wants to take over the government to go to war so they can make money, you go to war...thats caving. They knew it was coming, they had intel it was coming and yet they let it happen, why? they perfect excuse to give the american people to enter ww2...wag the dog. What are you talking about here? The mold of corporate america began in mid 1800s when the railroads fought against the govt attempts to regulate them.. supreme courts finial decision was 1941...do your homework...i give you info...Internet at your fingertips...research
