Hi guys, I'm new here.

exactly i didnt actually need the car but hey its almost impossible for me to loose money at that price. and the body and interior are in near perfect condition just dirty. the exterior the rear bumper is cracked the inside just a hole in the driver seat looks like from a cigarette and a whole in the carpet on the driver side other than that it looks good. but was very stained up so it got a complete and total detail. will post more pics later.
 
Are the coils on a 2005 LS a 100,000 mile warranty or a lifetime? I think it was 100,000 and this vehicle had exceeded that. A 2005 for $800....what a deal. Best of luck!
 
thank you!! god knows im going to need it!! i just got to thinking as well. haha im a hardcore ford guy. ive owned 3 mustangs and was going to buy a lexus ls400 from my dad for $750. but decided against it just to find the lincoln the very next day!
 
If im looking at stuff for my self, ill look at cleaner things, but something like this that might not be the best condition outside, but is mechanically sound with decent mileage. pick it up for round $1,000, put $300-$500 on cleaning up the outside, and sell it for $2,200. with this ide refinish or replace the grille, polish out the headlights clean up and tighten up the bumper, and do a buff and wax on the paint. Not looking to get rich, but when I see something like this, a DHS (the rarest of Devilles of this gen) with the night vision which also makes this even rarer, it really captures my attention LOL. Like I said though too bad about the mileage, that really rules out any profit ide make, and a car like that would do better as a parts car. Not very clean history report, 5 owners 2 accidents.

yea the lincoln is in stellar condition for the money. both inside and outside are maybe an 8/10. and the only issue is the hesitating/stumbling problem which i believe to be a coil so i will be out another $100 or so for the coil. i do details on the side so i will completely do a buff/wax/polish along with a paint correction on the car once i get her running right for now. the interior got shampooed and leather all cleaned up for free so hey im not complaining! lol
 
I did an interior detail of my personal car, my 2004 CTS, and she's lookin pretty sharp for a 10 year old car with 200,000 miles! I bought her new and just got back in her when we replaced her as the family hauler, it's now my commuting car. for the $25 dollars I spent and 4-5 hours it took, I think I did a pretty good job!

When one goes the others feel left out and follow suit... Save yourself some time and do all the coils and plugs at the same time.
 
So what does everyone think? Should I tackle all the coils first? Seems to be the issue. Just want to know everyone's opinion on it!

For driveability/misfire issues I would definitely start with the coils & plugs. That's the modern day tune-up; no more points, condenser, cap, rotor or plug wires with which to deal (what a PAIN that was!!!!).
 
man oh man do i know!! my dad has always been old muscle cars and old trucks. he taught me how to do the whole points and condensor fiasco. all i can say is thank you technology. haha i love the look of older vehicles but love the modern technology.
