Hello LVC'ers, I am about to tackle the installation of my Eibach springs. My question is, what are the tools, special tools I need to install the springs for the front and rear? I have compressor 1,000 ft lbs impact wrench, and the needed different sizes socket for it. anything else? :confused:

Rent a strut spring compressor, I was able to just push down on the rear top hat and start the nut but the fronts were not having an needed compressed

<waiting on LS4ME to explain his missing fingernail story>

Oddly enough it grew back. The Dr. said I would lose it.....

Apparently I didn't get the spring compressed enough and when the top plate "blew" off it grabbed the corner of my pinky fingernail and ripped it 99.999999% off. The nail was hanging on by a very thin piece of skin. The Dr. said he would use the nail to protect the nail bed as it healed but the nail was toast. Imagine my surprise to see the nail restored! There is still a little divot in the nail bed towards the outside of my finger. That was ~15 years ago and there are still a couple of blood stains on my garage floor.

OUCH! That wasn't with the unit I bought from you right?

Naw...... I wouldn't do that to you!! It was with one of those el-cheapo Auto Zone type units that clamp onto the side of the spring. I just didn't tighten it enough. TOTALLY my fault.

I was on the road when this happened, moving a pallet and something slipped on my pinky,
had it covered up with a band-aid, kept it as clean as I could but after a week it had to come off.

What can't you find on youtube?

Amazing what people think of.

I use tiebands at work and I sure as hell wouldn't trust them to hold the spring in my pen let alone that.

I would have at least used twine to just give me some sense of security.

What can't you find on youtube?

I've been exploring youTube for Bug Out 4x4 vans.

I want one of these now.

// sorry off topic quickly.

Spring compressors, I have the 'cheap' Auto Zone set and feel safe with them, impact, sockets, beer, and a friend to work on the other side at the same time.

Ah ok, yeah well this thing look beefy so I was pretty sure it wasn't this.

i went to autozone, put a $40 deposit down, used the tool for a day, took it back and got 100% of my money back.
