why when looking at rims im looking into 18 x 10, the offset is 22mm 99-04 and 40-43mm 05-12?where did the 18mm go? when buying hubs for the front you can see the difference in thickness, butnot 18mm. so after doing the math 80 for pair front hubs, redrilling rears, and redrilling rotors i come to the conclusion that its about the same in savings if you get the speedstars from wheel replicas, american muscle (prices are about the same) and i found cruisin concepts for 116 for 18x 10 (im going black for blackout look)even the chromes are less than 180
or see bill at 170 a pop and be done with it.
who is running what and how much did it cost because at $116 im not sure i can pass that up,even at 165 for 18 x 10 black chrome or chrome is hard to pass it has a 2"lip for the deep dish look

if you go with 10" wide wheels in the rear you will absolutely want the 40-45 mm offset wheels.
a 22 mm offset will stick out a lot and rub. no good.

yes i know, but where does the 18mm go from 99-04 to 05-12?if you look at the specs all the 10" wide are 22mm then it goes to 43mm in 05? is it the fender size, what?its only the 10" the 8" and 9" stay the same

what exactly did you use/ do?buy 04 hubs, but you went cobra all around with brakes, right?did you redrill rear hubs?and dont you need a puller or some tool to remove/install hubs?

i bought 04 terminator wheels, mustang abs equipped front hubs, cobra calipers and rotors for the front, rotors for the rear and relocated the factory rear caliper, and then had the stock rear hubs redrilled.

you do need a press for the rear hubs. as you press the bearing into the spindle, and the hub into the bearing.

however, if you redrill or enlarge the bolt holes on the factory brake rotors, they work just fine after a hub swap. i used factory mark brakes for a little while as i pieced together my cobra brake kit.

if you don't hub swap, obviously factory brakes work fine.
if you don't want to relocate the rear caliper for the cobra brakes, its not a big deal. i didn't notice any difference with the bigger rear brakes...

The difference is most likely track width. They might have changes the width of rear and and front end. I know my Mustang SVO had a wider track then regular Mustangs. Wider track means more offset.

will the mustang calipers bolt on? you put cobra brakes up front did rhey bolt right up? i know the plate that holds the rotor onwas a pain in the a$$ it was so rusted, also the rods that hold the caliper on were frozen so bad i had to beat them out with a 5lb sledge then ream the holes to put the new ones on.

Wondering if you can list person who you are asking ? of.

mustang front calipers bolt on.

mustang rear calipers do not bolt on. and have a different parking brake style.

what plate that holds the rotor on?

on most cars as soon as you undo the caliper the rotor slides off. on the front of the lincoln theres a round 'plate' that keeps the rotor from coming off i guess its a safety feature.ive already put new calipers up front and rotors so ill just swap hubs. you just bore out the rotor bolt holes and it will fit over the hub, guess ill do that too.

Those "plates" are just for the assembly line when Ford is putting car together so rotors don't fall off. I just grab them with dykes and twist them off and in trash they go.
You can see here what I did to get stock mk8 rear rotor on a stock mk8 rear hub that I redrilled already to 4.5 BC.
