Hi all I've been a lurker for a while now and finally decided to join. My name is Joel.

I own a 2002 LS8 i plan to put some 20" wheels and am looking for a staggered setup. However i cant seem to find any staggered wheels in 5x108 i know they are out there. Can anyone point me in the right direction? currently at stock height but plan on installing some eibachs in the near future. What should i look for as far as fitment?

Thanks in advance.

I feel your pain. I am on that desperate search also. Problem is with Eibachs running 20s and tires of 255/35 would be taller than stock and most that want to run staggers wand beefier rubber out back. 275/30 or 285/30 may work but are hard to come by and pricey. There is an excellent thread involving Jaguar wheel fitments that will be your best resource for info on that. Welcome to the forum.

I was checking out element wheels.com last night and there is quite a selection of wheels to choose from. What offsets would work best for front and rear. And I'll be sure to post up some pics tomorrow

was wondering if these wheels would work to achieve a staggered look? Im a complete noob in wheel offsets and seeing as how there is a variety of offsets available
Basically 20x8.5 all four rims
2 front +35mm and what size, tires would you recommend?
2 rear +45mm same? about tire size

Am i right on the offsets what kind of look that be?

Jaguar's Barcelona, Zeus, and Vulcans are all staggered wheel sets.

the vulcan and zeus are 18x8, 18x9.5.
the barcelona is 19x8 and 19x9.5.
all offsets are 60 mm. all those wheels fit well and look sweet.

unless you are just dead set on rolling 20s....

I love how those Barcelona wheels look.
However I'm kind of set on running the 20s
I'm looking for more of something with a lip to it trying to get the staggered look with offsets

Yeah I read that one before but it's mostly nonsense. Im interested in offsets and what look they will have on the ls. Basically I want to run some 20" wheels 8.5"in width. Only offsets available in wheel choice are +35mm, +40mm, and +45mm I know nothing about offsets can someone help me?

The higher the offset the better. If you have any offset lower than 40ish and you plan on lowering you might have to roll the fenders to avoid rubbing.

A 35mm offset 20X8.5 will sit flush with the fenders on the car and you will not be able to lower. I've had a set of rims with a 35mm offset before and the wheels sit flush with the fenders and you will get rubs in the back if you hit a big enough dip in the road.

I ran a 20x8.5" wheel with a 49mm offset and 245/35 tires with no rubbing whatsoever even after lowering, in the rear, and a little rubbing up front on big highway dips. To be safe you may want to get 45mm. But if you're the risk-taker type, I wouldn't go below 40mm. You may be able to make them work with some rubber bands.

but wait you want to run a staggered set up, right? is the 8.5" wide wheel the rear? if so might as well get 8.5 all around and keep the ability to rotate your tires.

So the 35 mm would have more of a lip than the 45mm

Lip has little to do with offset.

The stock LS wheel is 17X7 1/2 with a 60mm offset. I'm running Jag wheels which are 49mm and 18X8. The "lip" (such as it is) is actually less on the Jag wheels.

You need to go here and plug in your numbers. Do a little math and measuring and you will find your answer. IMHO, your best bet for a staggered set-up that shouldn't have clearance issues is to go with a Jag wheel.

What about with a 45mm offset same size rim

You really need to look for wheels that fit the S-Type R. I have found, however, many vendors fail to take into account the factory stagger.

never realized that guy used to be a member.

Those wheels were up for sale not too long ago. He used the same pics for the CL listing.

I was looking for that thread earlier but couldn't remember his name. The only thing about the Sevas are they are discontinued.

I couldn't remember his name, just the brand/model of the wheels.

IIRC, those were not a cheap setup either. something in the $3000ish range with tires.

staggered wheel sources?

Does anyone know of a staggered wheel source for the LS? I just love the VIP look it gives the LS. I know not everyone agrees with this setup. But i drive no more than 45 miles a day and roads around here are smooth. Any suggestions?
