Is this some kind of conversion kit

they are from a 99 continental.

means you can put a B headed intake on a C headed engine.

so basically, you could run a mark VIII intake on an 03 mach 1 engine.

yeah. means you could put the mustang engine in your mark viii and run the factory intake for stock looks i guess.
because the 99 conti had c heads but they kept using the b head mark viii style intake.

but when you open yourself to the c head intake options, there are better options out there.

Wats the benefit or purpose. Aren't our factory heads better

As Chris said above, those are stock parts from a '99 Continental. Those cars had "C" heads with "B" intakes. They allow one to run an oval-port style "B" head intake (like the Gen 1 Mark 8 intake) on "C" heads.

I wouldn't classify "B" heads as "better" than "C" heads.

The B heads actually flow a little more but give up a fair amount of HP and TQ in the mid range to a tumble port or C head. If all out top end HP is your goal B heads will do the job but the C head will make more power through the curve on a street car.
