So i take my lovely to our local lincoln mechanic to get the oil pan gasket replaced and also while they are up there fix the pesky oil sender unit. So upon getting my car back, my aftermarket fan stop working causing my car to overheat. On top of that somehow they knocked my window off of track. I assume because it was cold they tried to roll window down and maybe knocked the window off track.
So i have it towed back to the shop and they fix the window and they fix the fan. I had a inline fuse holder and all that good stuff, so they replaced that with a direct fuse link and stated it was "safer". Free of charge. Which is what i expected them to do.
I think pick the car up and immediately after a couple mins driving the car overheats. Then upon further inspection I notice that when they washed my vehicle they chipped my paint off my bumper horribly.
So i immediately take the car back to the shop, drop it off there and leave it overnight. I then call in the morning and they tell me that my t stat isnt opening and that they may also have to replace the housing.
I proceeded to tell them by when they did whatever to my car and had my fan stop working that it caused my car to run hot, resulting in the total meltdown of all above mentioned cooling components.
They denied that that is what caused it and now will not fix my vehicle and they expect me too. Had it out with the store manager. So filed a couple complaints and now Im waiting on my vehicle.
So my question to you guys is what other measures can a honest consumer take to get this handled. I already filed with BBB, the district attorny for consumer matters, and also ford corporation.
Is there anything else besides legal litigation i can take?
