All those who have subs most certainly have rattle problems inside and outside of the car. Lately I've been getting a horrid rattle from my rear view mirror and near the back of the car. Do any of you have this mirror rattle and how did you fix it?

Consider yourself lucky, when the mirror stays where I put it it rattles like crazy. Then the lows hit and it drops down to where I can't even see out of it anymore.

My mirror doesn't really rattle. I have the auto dimming mirror with microphone for the stock NAV setup. So perhaps I have a different mirror.

I deadened the trunk lid, which greatly improved the outside rattling. The rear rattle could be the stock subwoofers (if equipped) or the covers that go over them.

Just to expand on this I was able to eliminate a horrible rattle I was getting with the THX 6x9s by taking off the mesh covers and removing the plastic "shapeholders" inside. They seemed to have been isolated with foam at some point but it was severely dry rotted causing a horrid metal/plastic buzzing.

i have the stock auto dim mirror with the mic in it, and it would rattle ridiculous amounts. what i ended up doing was cutting up a business card and placing the pieces between the plastic housing and the glass and this seemed to help out a little. doesnt help out the mirror falling just the rattle.

I do plan on removing the rear subs and amp but doing so would cause me to lose my center console speakers no? But the mirror is shaking/rattling at the arm that the mirror swivels up and down on.

NO..those speakers are powered by an amp under the drivers side dash

I have no subs at the moment and my mirror rattles over every bump.

Mine has the auto dimming and the sensor on the windshield for the auto wipers....my cover for the top sensor, I'm guessing mirror, is the reason, I can reach up there and hold it and it stops.

I think when I have it in the shop I'm going to run some silicon along it.

The best thing to do is park the car and start grabbing everything that you may think it is and go from there.

the mirror and the front grill (i know, weird) are the only rattles i have, the grille was able to be fixed by adding a little felt tape to the clips, i havent found a solution to the mirror yet.
