Gentelmen, I'm trying to obtain the paint code for the 01' Dark blue LS color. Everytime I search for the paint codes for the LS's I simply can't find the right answer. I got the below picture from a fellow Mark owner that posted this on my thread. Is this a real color & if so, what's the paint code for it? I currently have a black on black Mark that has bad paint & I'm wanting to paint it SUPER DARK BLUE! Basically I want it to look black from far away & show it's true color up close. This LS color is an option I'm looking at with a thick clear coat over it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I've seen one in person for sale....I thought it was black until I drove up to it....it's a very very dark blue.

Had me fooled right off the bat.

It was kind of hard to see, but I think it was L2. Could also have been 12 or I2. When I looked up L2 for a 2003 Lincoln it comes back as True Blue Metallic.

These are the only pics I have. They aren't all that great, and this is before the accident that fixed a lot of its problems.

Thanks guys. I've found all the 411 I needed. Now I'm between TRUE BLUE METALIC, BLUE PEARL METALIC or DEEP WEDGEWOOD BLUE.

All 3 are FORD colors. All 3 are very dark but I will go with the darkest of all 3. Of course the price p/gallon has a lot to do when it comes to deciding. Wish me luck gentlemen! Again, thanks for all the help.

I believe the '01 blue to be Wedgewood Blue. You really need to use the code on the driver's "A" pillar. There is also a thread here somewhere where you can decode your VIN, which will tell you your color.

EDIT

REMOVED LINK......

EDIT

Try this. It should at least give you your paint code.

That link embeds your VIN and uses up one of the free daily uses. Use this instead.

Good luck...post pics of everything when you get it all done.
