It's on ch. 750 on Comcast or Xfinity right now. Much rather have a Mark VIII on a Mark VIII engine, but this should be cool

Cheers!

Ya, I saw this in a thread a while back, but just thought I'd throw it out there if anyone was home in front of the tube. I can't believe a '68 F100 with a Gen I Mark VIII engine was worth $50k. I could think of a zillion other things to spend my money on, including a supercharger and all new parts for my gorgeous Mark! POS 60's truck or sweet 90's Lincoln. Hmm. Tough decision.

Well I did some research on this truck, came across an F-100 forum where they said this was a fictional auction. Supposedly the truck still sits at Gas Monkey Garage. Don't know how true that is but in that very same forum I also came across some info on the host. Supposedly he's not the best garage nut.

I don't always believe what what other forums write. Some tend to exaggerate.

You mean to tell me people lie on forums?!?!?

That makes sense. $50k for a pea soup green 60's F100, even with a Lambo engine woulda been too much!! Way to misrepresent, Gas Monkey Garage Dude!

Some of the cars they build on that show are cool..but some are just turds that they build to resell for "profit" or at least that's what they tell you. You would be amazed how many reality shows these days are bullsh*t..this being one of them. All of their customer interactions are staged if you haven't noticed. And that host is a jag off, you can tell by how he talks that either he really doesn't work for the garage and is just part of the show or hes an idiot and doesn't know what the hell he's talking about..

Like the 3rd re-post lol. Anyhow, yes that truck is a tad bit on the high end. Hear when Richard said, "this truck would cost 100k to build it in our shop, as it sits". Fuggin stupid and out of your damn mind.

Richard is the shop owner. Course he's not gonna do any real work when he's got a full staff to work 24hrs a day. Lol

Yeah what a staff at that garage and on the auctions, does anybody remember American Hot Rod? Boyd used to bid on his own cars.

Now I used to have a rust free 69' F100 that I wish I had kept to throw my spare Mark engine into

I know where there is a mid 60's Ford for sale about 2 or 3 miles from my house but I don't need any more projects like that at this time.

HOLLYWOOD MY DEAR FRIENDS!!! Anything for ratings. 60% of viewers have no idea what that truck is worth.

Dude, welcome back. Where have you been?

Wish it was Hollywood, maybe they would have some more production in it if it was
