Sorry to start new thread, I've been searching and can not find my answer.

got the COP's in, have the NGK Iridium plugs.

currently have misfire on #2

Firing order on 2001 LS V8
Bank 1 & 2
1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 ???

1) Can someone draw/show me a picture on how that looks when facing the front of the LS ?

I'm looking to throw away COP on #2 and keep the rest as spares.

2) Noticed inside the boot, a little, and I mean very little, white grease.
Is this enough, should it be more thoroughly coated and if so,
what is it called, so I can get some at the local parts store before
I get the wrenches out to do this job.

3) Spark plug gapping ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

Cylinder list:

3 7
2 6

The white grease is dielectric grease. Any auto parts store will have it. I just put a dab inside the end of the coil.

Gap is listed in the owner's manual. I don't recall off hand.

I know you asked firing order, but I'm assuming you want to know which cylinder #2 is.

Many thanks Pektel.

found this shortly thereafter, confirms it.

~ searching for one of joegr's old posts where he mentioned the gapping, was like .039 or something.

Just checked an online manual:

Plug Gap: .039-.043 (V8)

yeah, I could give a ratsa$$ in which order it direct fires the COP's.

Like you said, was looking to figure cylinder order.

Thanks again !

Just checked an online manual:

Plug Gap: .039-.043

in MM (millimeters) ?

Hmmm ... looks like fraction of inches

Looking to get one of those old school, feeler gauges,
where you can add several millimeters of blades together to add up to what one needs.

Gonna use that to check or set the plugs.
Knowing that those spark plug rings can damage the tips on the Iridiums.

Sir BigRig, use Google to search this site. Much more efficient.
