I have been going through throttle position sensors every couple months now. On this one I am wanting to get the idle resistance correct. Before it was at .65 homes but if I twist it I can get .75 ohms. which is correct? thanks.

You adjust the TPS by voltage, not resistance. It should be just under 1.0 VDC at idle. I'm pretty sure it has a 5VDC feed.

You don't measure the resistance of a TPS, you measure the voltage output. Just less than 1 volt at closed throttle rising to less than 5 volts at wide open throttle, that's what the PCM is looking for.

Makes sense. Lol. How do I do that easily on my gen 1? It's kinda hard to get to...

Got it. It was at .58v!!!!! I drilled out the holes and got it to .94v. Think that's close enough? Seems to idle WAY smoother too..

Also had lots of oil in my intake.. Caused the throttle body gasket to fail. It is coming from the pvc valve, Im thinking that when the guys at oreillys gave me a new one it wasnt meant for my car. Could this cause the blowby? I have it off right now so I dont destroy my new gasket but the motorcraft one that i ordered wont be here until tuesday. Would it be ok to drive 15miles to and from work on monday with it open? I know if I plug it I will get an oil leak due to excess pressure. with the car at idle and the valve cover open there is a good abount of smoke coming out also, maybe a bigger issue? I also have a rubber cap on the line going to the throttle body so there is no vac leak

How much is a lot of oil? How many miles are on the car?
Have you ever had the TB off before?

174,xxx miles. Throttle body was off 200 miles ago because the gasket was leaking, and there was enough oil to make this one go bad. I think I got it tho, the one i got at oreilly was for a different car and maybe the backpressure was just incorrect.
