Is it me or...

Was more popular when more Marks were alive ...but as vehicles die, so do the sites partaining to them

Very true, just seems worse then normal the last month or 2. Thankfully this joint's still ticking.
 
Another thing going on "at the moment" that has probably caught your attention is that more than 2 million people are without power in the East...

I have noticed a few people haven't been online in the past few days. They say Friday is when they might have them back up and going but could be longer. It's being explained as a dry land hurricane... :confused: I take that as hurricane force winds in a very large area of the NE.

As for LOD, I'm a member there and have been for years but I don't mess with it and piss on .org period. :cool:

I know some of you visit there and that's up to you and some might like it but I really don't care to be treated like I'm in elementary school over there with Cal's rules. Not even sure how LOD is but one site is enough for me. I choose LVC over any of them, for the Mark VIII audience anyway.

LOL. I pointed out LVC to a newbie on markviii.org that there was activity here and was banned. No loss.
 
The storm last Friday killed everything around here. Banks just came back on line today! I only loss power for 3 hours but some are still with out.

I figured in the storm but its been more then just this week. Though this week has been worse then normal over there.

I rarely go to .org, I visit lod but don't post all that much.

yeah i just got power back this morning.
 
not as much traffic on LOD, but some cool stuff still happens over there occasionally.
 
You would have to do a post count over a few months. Over here, all the Mark8 activity is funulled into 2 forum folders with most being in this folder. At LOD the activity is spread throughout the site.

For a car with a fairly small following I think it's a better idea to have it setup as lvc does. Search wise lod and .org have it beat though.

that's incredible.

lod is,
Most users ever online was 438, 06-29-2007 at 07:04 AM.
one third the size, and 5 years ago.

so its pretty plain to see, lvc has more active users, and more recently too. so we're gonna have more volume.

also compare 50 (4 members, 46 guests) current active users to the 184 (40/144) here.
 
Forgot to mention the West side of the US is on fire and a lot of them probably don't have power in areas but haven't heard much on power outages, I'm just assuming if houses are burning, power poles are too. Strange things are happening all over.

As for guests that you see here, it's been from my experience before that a lot of the times, that will be google bots, msn bots, just site crawlers, looking for keywords and I'm sure on here, they have a field day. :p

Search function here does suck but I would choose this one any day over the other two. As long as the google bots keep crawling the site, that's all you have to do if you wanna search, just Google it and it will bring you back here.
