mach1 (auto) mustang and a stupid ricer

i ran the mach 4-5 times. his mods were a set of 373's and a k&n drop in, and a jmod type of shift kit from about a 35 roll, i got pulled by about 3-4 cars, mainly because he could jump down to first, while i would jump to low in second. then we raced from a dig a couple times. the first time we both melted tires off the light, and i initially jumped out front till about 50mph, (i am guessing because of my deeper gear) then he drove up a fender on me. second time, i got a bad jump and lost about 2-3 cars on that race. I expected to lose worse, and was proud of my car.

then we were cruising around, looking to run some different people, and we found a riced out :q:q:q:qvic, with a couple messicans wif gold teefs. they were to scared to run the mach but thought they might pick on grandads lincoln lol. They asked if i wanted to race and i obliged. They took off first,(the passenger waving bye to me) and initially had a 2-3 car advantage by the time my car got its ass in gear. I caught second at about 40 and by the time i was midway through 3rd, they were disappearing in the rearview mirror(me waving bye back btw). It was a fun day for sure, and i now have a new buddy to run with.
 
Saw a bone stock auto Mach 1 run 14.0 at 98MPH at the track a few weeks back.
 
yeah, 35 is a bad place to start with 4.10s. cant get to first unless you manually shift and hold it down there.

Even if you are at a MPH like 25 where it will downshift to 1st you still want to be manually in 1st gear. By the time your car actually downshifts to 1st the other car usually is already ahead and you are playing catch up.

I've cracked that shifter down into first so many times I can't even count. LOL I've kept my nose ahead of a 09 WRX STi and I thought that was a pretty good one. Of course he asked what was done at the next intersection. Who wouldn't though? That was like a skinny guy trying to catch a fat chick in a marathon. I felt pretty good about that one. :p

Has anyone downshifted into 2nd with o/d off from 75 mph with 4.30s? I've done that one too. :p It flares the rpms up and I then almost immediately shift to 3rd and 120 comes pretty quick LOL

with a tune shift adjustment it will drop.

yup. i wouldn't want to be in drive unless it was from a stop. otherwise hold it in first.

I'll say it again:p Even with all of my mods, it is still pretty much a door to door race with this guy now. :rolleyes:

It's hard to shake a 13.41 second Vic on the street. My buddy is not Mexican either. :p

If he feels threatened he'll hit the 125 shot. :rolleyes: It is fun being in the passenger seat on the giggle gas though. He has the car down to 3600# and it does feel very light when he sprays it. :)

ohhhh i think you mean i found like a crown vic. it was a honduh ciVIC. i just called it a sh)tvic and the damn filter caught it LOL
