I have contacted Mid Ohio Race Way about doing a track day. They would love to have us there as well as my readers.

Here is the email back from Adam
Hi Anton

Thanks for the note.

The daily rental price for a track event at Mid-Ohio is $10,000 per day. This will get you 8a-4:30p track time with all of the safety and ambulance etc. We do require a 1 hour lunch break from 12-1pm. I would need a $3,000 deposit along with a signed contract to hold any 2012 date. I would also need you to provide the GL insurance for the day which is a $5,000,000 policy.

I can provide you the contract language for the insurance if you would like it?

Please let me know when you would like to try and schedule something and I will get you the availability.

Thanks!

Adam

So we would be looking at 15,000. If I can get 30 people signed up it would be 500 per person. I am not limiting this to the LVC people as I know I can not get 30 people that will be able to make this.

If there is any interest I will pursue this for us, if not that's fine. Ameri-Tuner will try to sponsor this as much as financially possible.

Anton, have you contacted Nelson Ledges as well? I would expect them to be a bit cheaper for daily track rentals...

Nelson Ledges Track Day Info

On FunDays, gates open at 8 A.M. Track time is 10 A.M. to 4 P.M., with a half-hour break taken for workers.
The cost to participate in FunDays is as follows:
$130.00 / per driver
All fees are payable by cash or check.
(A $30.00 fee will be applied on any check that is returned NSF)
Fees are non-refundable, however under certain circumstances rain checks may be issued at the discretion of Track Management.

I am contacting them as well for any requirements. I will post the email back here

Email From Nelson Ledges

Sir,
Were you looking to join in on an existing FunDay or put on your own event?

if you have your own event the amount of drivers you have is up to you and I would probably need at least a few weeks notice just to make sure the date you want is available.
If you are just looking to participate in an existing FunDay, I don't have car number requirements and I do offer a group discount.
If you bring in over 10 cars the fee drops to $100.00 per driver. And just give me a day before heads up just so I know to expect you.

If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me.

Well, who knows when this will happen, probably next year yet. I know I want to try and sponsor as much as I can via Ameri-Tuner. So I am just looking for any interest.

Any one have any interest in this type of thing? If we got 10 People 100 bucks isn't bad at all. Let me know

So they Ohio meet is at Nelson Ledges this year? :D Who wants to tow my car back home after it's over :shifty:

This could be an ohio meet if people would like to do it. But it is a little expensive. If I can't get ten people I will probably invite other people I know.

pay $500 to drive my car around like a jack ass, pshh I already do that around the city

Yeah, this :q:q:q:q is way to expensive. I doubt anyone will want to but I tried to do what I could. I don't see this happening. Plus, there really aren't any track worthy LS's on here and not many will put that kind of stress on a 6-12 year old cars that has enough issues on its own.

I'd go if it wasn't for the fact it's in Ohio and I am in Florida. 20-hours of driving is a bit much for a track, specially when I can get in on Sebring, Homestead, and Daytona down here. Homestead being the furthest away at 5-hours.

As far as pushing the car around the track that never bothered me. They're a great ride in stock form.
