As some may know from the couple of noob questions I have posted I'm new to this site. Looking and reading various threads/posts I have a few ideas first off to Check Collision to fix her body up a little, next coil, plugs, air filter, possible new air intake, cat is going so obviously new cat. Also, want a cat-back system but not sure if it's worth it considering I have a V6. Looking at wheels but head is spinning has anyone seen a cashmere ls with anthracite machined rims on it? Having a hard time finding pics on this site or google. I think I might be interested in AXL887. I really need to pull the trigger I can't drive on stock rims and snow tires much longer. Any feedback would help. Will be posting pics soon once she comes back from the body shop.

Exhaust: Any decent shop can make you a custom exhuast set-up for a few hundred bucks. A full catback like Magnaflow will cost you twice as much. I did the full Magnaflow catback for show purposes. If your not showing the car, go with custom built set-up. cost you half the price.


What type of body work are you having done?

Body work is fixing damage from being rear ended a few months ago and then being clipped in the from drivers side quarter from a woman who couldn't judge the space in front of me, the car was parked just glad she dating's my girl's cousin so she didn't take off like the previous rear ending episode. All covered by insurance, thank god. Currently clipping in a Malibu from enterprise. Noticed you won alot awards for your car well deserved from what I can see from your pics.

Wow!!! Good that the insurance is fixing everything. If you have a little body mods you want to do, now would be a goodtime. Have everything painted at once. Save a few bucks.

I like those sentas. how is the ride on 20's is really that rough? the price seems to be right on usarim.com. but it is my everyday ride so not sure if I should. 18's seem to be the best option. Any feedback on those?

I had 19's before the Sentas. 19" Konigs Prophets on 245/35/19 Dunlops. NEVER rubbed. Ride was good. The 20" Sentas on 255/40/20 Kumhos ride nice. They do rub a bit. Only when I hit BIG dips at speed. If I slow down a little. I am fine. Th Kumhos are the wrong size. They are 1/2" taller then my Dunlops. I plan to get the right size in the near fututre.

Finally made a wheel purchase. Tough to pull the trigger but had to make the decision couldn't ride on stock 16's with winter tires. I figured 18" wheels were the best bet although the sentas were tugging real hard. Next is wrapping them in some rubber any good deals out there for 245/40/18? Couldn't find alot of reviews for VCT Massinos, but the price was right.

Repair on hold by insurance....

Got her back from the shop today looking pretty, got my wheels and tires put on also. Couple of issues now done. Next it's gonna be the cat, then tint soon after that. More to come (Eibachs, custom exhaust) when I see the bank account grow a little more. Pics will follow when weather starts co-operating if anyone's interested in my progress.

What tires did you decide to go with? That looks like a good wheel, can only imagine what it looks like on the car.

I went with Sailun Atrezzo z4 245/40/18. I think they look nice and the price was right. Took some pics but overcast and dark on a cell phone hoping tomorrow will be nicer and I'll use a better camera.

Couple of pics. Tint and exhaust next. Lowering not sure yet, conditions (driveway and winter weather) might keep that on the backburner.

It would definitely look much better lowered, but I know what you mean about the driveway bc mine is the same. Tint should pull the car together real nice.

Paint the rocker panel trim and rear valance to match the car. It will give a lower look without actually having to lower the car.

I like that idea RollinLS but I have a feeling it will be tough to match the color of the car without going to a professional . I believe I've hit my paint budget already. With the new cat, tint, and obviously, as you can see from the pics, new brake rotors and calipers it might have to wait awhile by then I might just drop it anyway.

Yes, the rockers would help..Were those OEM replacement springs? Something looks a bit lifted or else hasn't settled quite yet

It does seem a bit high but that is the way I bought it so not sure if anything has been done to to the springs.

Those are aftermarket wheels...ride height goes up with larger wheels on stock springs.
