Starting to get sick of...

you couldb all be worse, you could be me. no more nickles and dimes only pure .999 gold proofs (i always wondered, proof of what?)im into $20's n $50's. yes im getting motor 4.stock, untouched, saving cams for later. not putting cams in it though, im going to take time, rebuild what i really want from scratch, no matter how long it takes then drop that in. im getting help from new friends, car people and in general nice people, its refreshing now in a way after all my negativity that true human compassion can be found and is not lost. for that i thank God. and my friends when my own family wouldnt lift a finger except to point it at me and say its myfault this and that, RUBBISH. again, thanks friends, but yes the nickel and dime :q:q:q:q gets old, really old. and howcome there is a $ sign % sign but no change sign on a keyboard, why?

that was with all the stuff you had done right, not just rear. happy with it?

That is with the differential fixed from broken ring gear bolts, rear brake pads, and front control arms. I have yet to do the conversion. I need to buy springs yet, then dyno tune, then slicks. That's just to get it back on the road again. I still have another $1200 to spend to make this thing track-worthy.

whatever became of the headlights?i thought they were blacked out.

Got them aimed on the bench now it's time to build the vacumme form box and make the molds to go around the projectors and then reassemble and install in the car. My next delemma is weather or not to paint the housings black or body color it's a toss up right now.

I've got 2 good columns if you need one:)

Noted, thanks.

I picked up my car from the mechanic today for a total of $1597.

Guess I'm just a whiny bitch.

I give props to anyone that daily drives their Mark and manages to keep it nice. I know I wouldn't want to daily drive mine. Seems everytime i take it out something new needs to be fixed.

Unfortunately in my case, shoddy work has been the reason for the nickling and diming with my car. This time it was loose AND broken ring gear bolts. Beyond that, the brak pads and control arms/balljoints are normal wear, but the other hell I've had to go through with this car all directly relates back to the "mechanic" of 2010. His shop was closed and his house was taken. He's a douchebag and messed up A LOT of chit on my car. There are other people taking him to court because of the same practices with them. I cut my losses and departed from that situation with a very jerry-rigged car. He has domestic violence cases against his wife, so he truly is a piece of chit.

Right now, the car is good. I mean better than ever, for now. ;) I wish I would have found Broc 2 years ago and did all of this chit only once.

AND, even though my car scoots on the street, my driving habits HAVE NOT contributed to any of these problems. I'm not in a state of denial because I know I am right. That's why the "mechanic" threatened my life basically back in 2010 because I called his a$$ out red-handed.

For example, here again. Broken ring gear bolts. That is not a result of my lead foot nor does this car have the torque to break things in the differential like that. This situation was from a piece of chit grease monkey that didn't grasp the concept of a fvcking torque wrench.

Regardless of all of the "cons" with this car, it's really an awesome car to own if you maintain it or have someone reputable dong work for you. DLF is a great example of that. He has done ALL his work which is why his car is so pristine and proper in every way. I envy him. ;)

I wish it was my summer car again. It was stored winters from 07-11, last march it was put on dd duty. It hasn't stranded yet me which i'm very happy about. It's just that the little things add up, esp when your anal. Luckily I have this forum and a good friend (mechanic) that provides cheapish labor for the things I can't fix myself. If I had to take in for everything it would've been gone long ago.

On a side note. I think my rotor change helped/fixed the steering feedback I was having. Was able to get free replacements which made me :D.

2maro is the clockspring, then next weekend the windshield gets replaced. :yuck:
