I have a 2003 LS v8 with about 83,000 miles. I have already had the passenger side VCG fail which happened going up an exit ramp to the high way. Once that was replaced, the CATs went out and had to be replace. Then I have had two separate coil failures, #7, and #8, each when I was going up an exit ramp to the highway. Also been noticing stumbling going up hills on the highway for about a month. So now I am pretty sure I am on my 3rd coil failure. So far the dealership has not been willing to replace the driver's side VCG. My question to everyone is what is the primary cause of the coils going bad, the VCG or just bad coils?
