yellow light on windshield????

i just noticed that there is a yellow light that is just below the rear view mirror that shines towards the outside. any idea what this is?? sometimes it is solid sometimes it flashes???????????????

Its the sensor for the rain sensing wipers.

Not sure, Ive never looked at it when I was driving.

But if you turn your wiper switch to OFF the light turns off.

yea but if i turn them off then i might forget to turn them on when it rains

When it's dark out and your lights are on and the car is running, put it into park and step outside. The light will be flashing (or maybe just on, I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure it's flashing). Maybe an indicator to you, or other vehicles?

I can tell you that it generates enough heat to affect a light dusting of snow, which is a really good reminder to close the door before you start the engine.
