wtf is this thing

If it was dropped on a frame with power-train, id drive it. But wow the work involved, especially if you want a working deck lid and hood.

It isn't even one of Lincolns better concepts that never made it to production, Mark IX, X, 02 continental, MKR or the C-concept

What strikes me is that Ford comes out with designs like this and they dont produce. Then someone like GM DOES produce something similar and its a hit. If Ford has pulled the trigger, they could have had it.

This one looks a lot like a 300 from the side. High body line, low profile glass. What was the other Ford concept, the mock up body was blue. It was even more like a 300 and it was Ford badged.

Ah, here it is. Not sure when this concept was made, it may be after the 300 according to the article....

But look where Ford is and look where Chrysler and GM are ..

Ford must be doing something right or better...

True. But my point is a lot of concepts, for any company, look incredible. As-in get it into production before the marketing guys dumb it down. But thats always what happens. Concepts look great, then they are softened by the marketing guys or never see production. The Interceptor above, I think, looks great as-is but if it makes it to production I am sure it will not look nearly the same.

I would love to buy a new Lincoln, but not a single one in the line-up fits what I want. Powerful, large, 2-door.

it is the interceptor, i loved that, and it was the same platform as the MKR concept. both cars that should be produced
