WTF is this guy thinking!

Being an LS guy, I have a question...Is that too much to ask for that car?

Well we already know he is an idiot by looking at the pics - directionals on wrong.

I like the following statement "It's the LSC edition which means it has the high output engine"

Now I don't remember the HP specs, I know the LSC has a few more ponies, but this guy makes it sound like he's comparing a 4 banger to a 5.0 HO motor.

And really the engine output is the same, its the dual exhaust that open it up a bit.

9900 lmao women love it, maybe some woman will give him his 10 grand too.
he'll own that car for a long time unless he comes down about 5 grand.

and this is his response to the following questions:

Are you seriously wanting $9900 for this car? If so, what makes it so special?

The price is $6500, and it is a special car. It's beautiful, powerful,
great to drive. Give me a call at 417-425-8011 if you need more
information.

Thanks,
Brian

My friend is selling his '97 w/95K on it for $5500 and I've been around this
one all its life. Never been hit, no dings, new tires and all the maintenance.
Thing is Super Clean and has all options but Heated Seats, Phone and block htr
Only issue is neon out on taillight but no surprise there... Check out the
FOR SALE Section.

who cares how much he is asking. its HIS car, not yours, find something better to do with your time then flame the guy for selling his car. remeber, this was a 40k car new, not a 15k civic.

You're the seller aren't you?

The key work in your above statement is WAS, it WAS 40k new.

flame him flame him he's a flamer . even 6500 is way out if its league, my 93's were both close to 40k new 15 years ago too, so does that mean i can sell them for a rediculous price???

I agree with bryan...if this guy wants to advertise his car for 15k that's his business. If we as a Lincoln group want to do some good will we should email him some recommendations. that would be the brotherly thing to do IMHO.

If it was the .org this thread would be long gone. I have sold cars before with out know the true value on them, and I wanted the top dollar for it. So I listed it for what my research turned up and kept going down till I found the right idiot , I mean buyer!

^ exactly. I have too much invested in my 93 to sell it for what a 93 goes for. I'd want to get 3k for mine, which is absurd and I'd never get. Some people just love their car and want to get what they think its worth. 9900 did jump out as WAY too much though. I saw a nice silver 98 lsc for 4900 at a dealer w/ all ford dealership service invoices from when it was new. If it was black on black I would've gone into debt for it haha.

End of story there didn't seem to be any mods to it or anything, he probably just got the check air ride message and freaked

Asking and expecting are 2 different things. Maybe some guy that always wanted one and never looked into them would buy it for 6500 and is thinking he got a deal because he talked him down 3400. 6500 really isnt that crazy if the car was maintained well. 2nd gens always go for about double of first gens.

True but I still think $6500 is pretty high for a 100k+ mile Gen2. You can find Gen2 LSCs with a good deal less milage for under $5000 if you take the time to find them.

That is correct... Somebody told me yesterday they found a Black Gen II LSC
with 65Kmiles for $5400

now 65k on the clock for that price is a good deal

Maybe his wife told him to sell it and he didn't want to... so put the price high and just tell the wife... Just can't understand why it's not selling dear...

my 98 lsc had 107k on it, i dumped all kinds of money into it, 18 inch wheels, brand new tires, a full custom dual 2 1/2 inch exhaust, a killer stereo system, new hid bulbs, housings, freshly tinted windows, brand new front end entire rebuild, brand new brake job front and rear, fresh trans flush, coolant flush, new neon ballast, new radiator, powder coated polished intake and valve covers, the list goes on and on, never in any other state then florida, not a speck of rust anywhere on the car, not even a flake on the chassis the car was damn near mint and i barely squeeked $5,200 for it so in my opinion, which is all it is, my opinion, he is crazy asking that price. we are all entitled to our opinions the most i would pay for it is 4 grand, but thats only because i can get a car like that all day long here in florida for that.

WTF is this guy thinking?

I bought my white '97 LSC last May in Texas for $7,600. It had 53xxx on it at the time, but after repairing things, (ball joints/control arms, rear bushings, alternator, a headlight bulb, fresher neon trunk light unit, Bridgstone Turanzas, and Sony CD, USB stereo radio, have about $11,500 in it, and 67,xxx mi on it. I would sell it for no less than $9,500. Everything works good and it is faster than stock w/a chip from LMS and a 900cfm mass air. Not everything is worth what you want for it, but you can usually get your price, all you have to do is just find the right buyer. Oh, mine is for sale, by the way! Flame if you wish, but sometimes we know what our stuff is worth, even if someone else doesn't.
