So I have been a member here for 6 months or so and I lay quietly and read everyones posts.Awesome Forum.I have gotten better info from you gentleman than my local Lincoln dealer.Everyone that belongs to LVC are extraordinary people.Seriously,you guys make the lincoln mechanic look like he rides the short yellow bus to school if you know what I mean.So the reason for starting this post is this.I wrote a gentleman that belongs here to LVC and explained to him the problem I am having locating this rubber gasket on the intake tube on a 98 lsc.Its the oval rubber that slides on the end on the tube and seals it to the TB.Now,I have read more than a few of this guys posts so I know he knows his way around his lincoln. He goes buy dbleb88 and his name is Bruce.This guy answered my email,not knowing me from Adam he offers his help with this gasket.But when I asked him what he needed for the part he says I need your address to get it in the mail.And refused anything in return!!!Free!!!What!!!I have been pretty sure this kind of person died in the 60s.America has become so geedy we forget about the fact we are all people.Put here without choice and we do our best to live life day to day and just get through it..If we all would just slow down and take a second to breathe and say Hi or lend some help.I dont know,I just remember when the world was full a guys like Bruce dbleb88.So I wanted all to know that this guy is a stand up real deal dude.Bruce I thank you and I know to some I probably seem corny and dumb for making such a big deal about a piece of rubber.I was brought up to appreciate kindness and acknoledge someone elses good deeds.Thats it Thanks for reading this and thanks again dbleb88.LVC rules!!

thanks for the post.i have found several members to be of the utmost highest caliber. when i was in search of answers as well as friends they answered well. they are out there, but a dying breed.this is the second post just today on such a subject. what i dont like is those who pass themselves off as the solution and dont even get their hands dirty trying to help,or offer one shred of help.the only reason i have not mentioned his name is he is not entirely to blame, but did nothing to help fix the matter.my only wish is he'll read this and find some shred of descency to say something.

Is a nice bunch and this forum sold me on finding a lincoln - bought one back before Christmas - a b/b 94 with 44 on it.
