Would this fit a Mark?

the gears and trac lok will. the axles will not.

8.8 gears are 8.8 gears.
the trac lok will work as long as its 28 spline. which it says that it is.

no. 96 cobras are solid axle.
the gears would have to be installed and set up.

That's what I was thinking. Now I remember going through this last week or the week before. I'm wanting to just do a pumpkin swap only and not have to pay out the ass to have gears installed and the whole 9 yards and then being $300 or more into it. I prefer the 3.27's because I wanna keep as much top end speed as possible and also save on the gas. Main thing is, I want a posi rear end.

if you just want the posi, leave the 3.07s and toss in a posi. switching to 3.27s won't make an appreciable difference and isn't really worth the price of the gears.
unless someone is giving them away off course, but new gears are always better.

also, the 4.10s have plenty of top end. i can still get up there and move. these 4.6s rev plenty.

What's involved with making what I have into a posi rear end then? I would be happy with that setup because I'm not hitting the strip and I know I have the power to smoke them both with 3.07's and sometimes on a certain slant and on certain asphalt, both will spin and the car will slide sideways. Has to be just the right spot though but it has done it more than a few times.

I'm looking to make it posi as cheap as possible.

you need a diff rebuild kit. the bearings and seals and what not.
a trac lok.
and then some one to put it together.

you probably wouldn't even have to pull the pinion gear unless you really wanted new bearings there.
