would it be worth it though, I thought I heard some where that the exhaust manifolds are good for quit a bit of more horse power

that depends. they are no fun to install either.

Those will not work on your vehicle. They are made for 96 thru 2004 Mustang GT SOHC heads. These have a rounder exhaust port. If you want a good header, the Factory 2003/4 Mustang Mach I or Cobra manifold is all you will ever need. I purchased a set for $12.
