Going to go look at a new car on sunday, will be trading the lincoln in.

If all goes to plan ill have a set of 17" mas italy wheels forsale that i just bought and maybe brand new in box EBC slotted rotors, unless i can return them since its only been about 2 weeks.

the only details im willing to share are....
310hp (but known to put out around 300 to the wheels stock :) )
RWD
and umm, ALOT faster then a lincoln LS v8 haha

Also ill be returning to my car roots with this car, i fell in love GM's cheapness. oops, may have just givin it away

Are you willing to share the year of said vehicle:) ?

its a 2001

guess i should say, returning to my roots but a newer body style then the last 2 i had.

oh man i wish it was sunday tomorrow, i just got an email back from one i sent earlier today. they said they could drop the price even more.

Its a camaro Z28. some of you may not be impressed at all. but i dont know why i ever got out of an fbody. Ls1's are awesome power plants too.

i think its destiny, i cant say i got it just yet or that its in the bag, dont want to jinx myself!

i guess i got this lincoln because its a really tasteful car. if it goes through i know ill miss this thing. i had a 94 Z28 6 speed befor this car. it wasnt perfect at all and even had a salvage tittle. i got this car when the clutch went out and the rear intake manifold gasket went aswell. lincoln has been a good car, 1 set of coils in the 20k ive owned it so far, some front and rear brake pads, a door handle. hell it took me down my first trip of the 1/4 mile track. i think since i got into racing again im really missing the power. ive been trying to get out of it for about a year though and back into a fbody. first couple i looked at the price just wouldnt work, but it seems i found a dealership that wants to deal.

good to hear man, I won't give ya crap. I got out of my LS after it wore off for what i have know and am much much happier in the SS/SC(two other cars came in after) and yea I miss the LS here and there but wouldn't take one and some cash for what I got now.

Good luck and yea, them things are beasts, I want pics IF you get it.

This was my 97 daily driver from 2000 to 2005.
Repainted it last year.
This year it got a fresh all forged Supercharged 383 LT1 full race A4 3.73s with a Gearvendors .78 Overdrive (2200 rpm at 80 mph in "5th" gear)
Fbodies are a lot of fun.

that camaro needs a roll cage and it would be SWEET! I love verts with roll cages. sounds like with the 383 it could use one too!

My old 94 6 speed was actually around 2000-2200 in 6th doing 80 as well. it had the 3.45 or 3.42 rear end in it. My old trans am was an 87 GTA. L98 350 bottom end, Lt1 top end. was one of the first in ohio and first 5 known in the country with a Lt1 head/intake conversion. CC306 cam 3000 stall convertor, 1.6 rockers, headers no cat and hooker cat back. and of course all the little odds and ends like pushrods and valve springs. remote t-stat housing.

If i get this camaro i will probably keep it stock for awhile and just have fun getting used to the huge power increase that ive missed over the last 2 years. eventually id like to do intake, cat-back exhaust, 3.73 or 4.10 gears, and thats probably it. those mods should take her into the 12's. i drove a stock 1998 Z28, they have a little less power but jesus, it still feels like its got twice the set of balls the lincoln LS has.

Tomorrow is the big day! gonna be there to check it out and hopefully purchase at 11:30-12:00! Cant wait! ill post pics for sure!

just got back...grrr banks suck.

with the economy like it is, and the car being in columbus, and me being in cincinnati. i have to finance with a bank here. so im working on all that tomorrow. car is pretty much in the bag tho. got her for 6850$ thats right, a 82000 mile 2001 Ls1 Z28 camaro with leather and t-tops for 6850$. I booked it, trade in is 8400$

anyways car is sweet. needs front rotors but hey, thats under 100$ and can be done in 2 hours. its solid though, no rattles which is really good, headliner is in great condition around the t-tops.

should have her soon!

well the car got sold out from under me while i was getting approved for the loan.

If you live in columbus dont ever go to IMMKE northwest honda. they are pricks and dont know how to do business. more worried about making a buck then actually gaining a customer.

probably not for 6850$....

pisses me off a little bit. The things i learn in life all have the same answer...."why man made beer"

^^ no :q:q:q:q! if that dealership didnt suck and was normal and put a hold sticker on it like every other dealership i would have it. i wasnt expecting it get sold out from under me while financing.

i missed 2 hours of work while in the loan office. and i drove 1.5 hours each way to see it. least they could do was hold it.

Just curious but what is your age?

I believe that everything happens for a reason, sometimes we don't get that reason right away. So something was wrong with that car and it was not ment for you right now, something better will come along.

the dealer in bourbanious IL told me they couldnt hold my ls even for a few hours so i had to periodically call them to make sure it was still there. the salesman was a poo poo head and wouldnt budge an inch on price and also was just rude most of time. he thought since i was young i didnt have money. anyway dealers dont care about doing good business it just sucks. i got the car and had to drive 2 hours both ways but was worth it ,, hope you find what your looking for traitor lol:)
