Im looking to put in my 2 12" Polk Subs in my car but was wondering how many of you that have systems ran the wires?

Any tips to make it a lil easier?

wouldn't you just re-route the sub in the rear to your two new subs...or do you still hope to have the stock sub connected?

I still have the stock subs connected... Didnt know if i could connect my new and subs to the stockers

When I ran the wires for my system, I pulled the two front seats out and ran them under the carpet. 4 years later with no problems. Good Luck!!

I had a feelings that I would need to pull seats out, how difficult was it to run them under the seats?

its very easy, with the battery in the trunk, just run your power and ground wires to the batt itself, and if you have an aftermarket radio then just run your rca down the side, the trim pannels just pop right up and there is plenty of room inside the factory wire protectors,

if you have the stock head unit then either solder rca ends onto the factory signal wires in the trunk (open trunk and look up in the left corner) or use a Line Output Converter (LOC) between the factory subs and the amp and you will never have to leave the trunk

and repete, WTF are you talking about, using the factory amp to drive real subs, bad F'ing ideal, very low power output, i know your dim, but i hope some lights are still on, i would stick to what you know, demotivational posters!

Ok so seems pretty simple to run them from the trunk down the trim, Im needing to buy the wires and will do the install this weekend. Any suggestions on wiring kits ?

And apprecitate the help loudls .

why would you pull the seats out? just run it down the center console, i can see taking out the backs, but the fronts? sounds like a lot of extra work, especialy with air bags.

as i said before there is plenty of room down the sides IF it is just subs, if it is for mids and highs, then the center you must go

Yes its just subs, I was just going off what a buddy of mine said that the best way to run it would be under the carpet and through the center console to the back of the headunit.. So just kind of going off what other people have mentioned..

Where is the factory sub located? All I see in the car are both front speakers, rear door speakers and the ones on the upper deck in the rear. ? maybe im lost

So if you use the factory unit and tap into the rear deck speakers for signal, What do you do about remote turn-on for the amplifier?

you can tap into a fuse in the rear fuse box next to the spair tire (sorry i cant remember which one it is but there is one the turns on and off with the key switch) or buy a low voltage relay (5V trigger and they are uncommon or a little hard to find)

06LSMero - as far as amp kits, i like the kicker or rockford kits, the wire is nice and flexible, use 8awg up to 500 Watts RMS, 4awg for amps up to 1000 Watts RMS, cheaper kits can be bought for walmart "on the cheap" if you need but there 4 awg kits are as small as a quality 8 awg, to go through the center console you wont need to remove the front seats just the rear, how ever you will want to remove or at least loosen up the center console to get the wires under the carpet between the back seat and the back of the console.

2000lson20s - the 2 in the rear deck are the factory subs

Thanks alot for your help 1loudls, I got my weekend project hopefully it comes out good, and hoping nothing is wrong with my subs since they have been sitting in storage for about 4 months now..
