Hey there, this is my first post on LVC. So please forgive my ignorance if any. I purchased my 00 LS v6 Automatic last month at 136k miles. I love the car and the ride. Last week, I had issues with the degas bottle (read it up on the forums) and replaced it. Now all is well with the cooling system. However, now after I replaced my degas bottle, the multifunction switch and the driver side footwell light doesnt work. (Read on)

Here is a list of functions that stopped working (most are part of the multifunction switch):
-Telescopic function for steering wheel
-Highbeams
-Left blinker/flasher (no the light dont flash on the outside nor inside on the dash)
-Right blinker/flasher (no the light dont flash on the outside nor inside on the dash)
-Driver footwell light

While I don't think replacing the degas bottle affects anything with the multifunction switch and tilt/tele systems, I don't know where else to start. I was able to get the steering wheel to go all the way up (not out) and then I started facing these problems stated above. I tried putting it back down and it won't budge in either direction.

Is there a common connector for all these systems that may have gotten pulled out of place when the steering wheel was adjusted to the highest position?

Thanks for your replies to help me get this problem solved.

Update:
I put my hand inside the steering column cover and discovered that 2 connectors were disconnected. Plugged them in and Problem solved. Looks like the tilt went too far up and pulled the connectors with it. However, I can't seem to find where one connector goes. It's the small short one next to the big wide one.

IIRC from the last time I did the clockspring, that little plug is only there to confuse the non-dealer installer. It is just there for looks and to induce confusion.

Thanks. All is well now :) It's currently snowing in new york, and i'm currently experiencing a weird acceleration issue. I know under certain circumstances the AdvanceTrak will kick in to prevent the car from sliding, but on a open wet highway, I experience a momentary loss of power when i accelerate from a coast then the car will drive normally. It will pick up speed, then suddenly no response from the gas, and all of a sudden its back to normal. Anything I should look at?

Look for the AdvanceTrak icon flashing on the instrument cluster. That will show the AT activating. That has happened to me a time or two with my old V6 on a wet road. Debris will also kick the AT into action....

That AdvaceTrak icon has been flashing since I bought the car and the button on the console piece appears broken. The previous owner told me that he too bought the car 2 years ago with the same issue. No local shops appear to have a scanner that can get to that part of the car's system.
