Winter LS Storage

Well, I had to bale out on this plan due to my employment hanging in limbo right now.

Had the Winter tires put on and lubed all the door seals and locks, yesterday.

It was already in the barn amongst some very nice expensive classics and a few moderns.
( my neighbor across the road / classic car restoration business ).

I have a spot for free right at the door on an angle and was able to get it in and out anytime I wanted.
Reason being is because he's doing some paint on it for me over the winter/spring.

I was shopping around for a slightly abused older model pick up truck, something 4X4 to bomb around in this winter,
however with the employment status ( suspended ) I'm not depleting my bank account on any additional vehicle right now.

Dec 20th is when I hear back on how my trucking with the same company will be forcasted.
If it's any further BS then it already is, I'm moving on and signing up with some other offers on the table and
only then will the LS go back in the barn and my 4X4 pick up purchase continue.

So hate to drive the LS in the salty slush. It's snowed twice here where I'm at, it was completely dry and
green again for a while but since 3 days ago, we are covered in the white stuff again.

So no LS winter storage for me right now.

I'm with you Big.....I am now driving the LS with Goodyear Eagles due to me not being able to make time to get my 2wd F150 up and going....have to swap heads on it.

I'm already looking for a set of tires on rims for winter driving as we speak.

I want my LS off the road now!

Good luck with the work situation...hope they don't stick it to you after that crap.

thanks, I bought my LS with two sets of new tires, nice new Winters on it now.

yeah, they got me on a technicality of the failed retorq requirement.
My own fault, simply forgot ... but talk about getting throw under the bus here.
Last year, big cheque with a nice statue, driver award, many congrads on job well done.
this year, same time frame, my first and only mistake ... BAMM !!!! suspended without pay,
possible continued employment under review pending court outcome. Fn BS. but I F'd up, should have covered my back, defective workmanship according to lawyer and inspection officers but company protecting it's business and I'm just a steering wheel holder and plenty of those around.

Last I heard boys at the shop signed a partition stating they wanted me back.
The big guy has said he wants me back soon as possible but it's not his decision.

have really been troubled by all this ... something very good, fell apart instantly.
I've learned a lot from this and makes me more educated and the wiser.

It's also a 'dirty' industry.

I'm not driving the LS much though but it needs to be available in the driveway at all times in this point of my story.

I saw your thread on what happened.

I hope things go well for you....it's tough to find good drivers.....you can find drivers, but good ones are tough.
