Well it is coming to that time of year again where I need to think about what I am going to drive in the coming winter. Well I do have the truck but at the price of gas I think I will pass on that for now so I bought a 2001 Nissan Maxima for a bit of a song knowing that I had some repairs to do. The car has 175,000 Kilometers so it really does have low milage..LOL!!!

No the rest of the car is in surprisingly good shape for a northern rust belt car. These 5th gen maximas have issues with the rad support and the rear wheel well pinch welds. I had to do the rad support for our safety certification so I can plate it and insure it to drive. Took it in to get the safety yesterday but since there is a crack in the windshield on the extreme lower left corner I have to replace the windshield as well. I am hoping that the rest of the car passes. They say if the crack is in the drivers view it fails but since I nor the mechanic is a midget it sucks. The crack is seriously right at the trim level and cowl.

Dang! That core support was about to fall right on out of there! Looks like a great repair!
