windshield wiper transmission trim question

Hi everybody,I'm in the prosess of putting my gen 2 back together and ran into a snag.My question is,between the wind shield and the hood you have the two vent panels(where the windshield washers are)beneath the drivers side panel is the wiper transmision assembly,O.K. now on the passenger side is there supose to be a plastic panel between the firewall and the pass. side vent panel? I don't have one and was just wondering if there is supose to be one there,Thanks.
